  1. I just purchased a 99 gs3 from a dealer with 130K....but felt comfortable due to the fact it had always been serviced there on every scheduled interval and the previous owner was single (not alot of wear inside) and car drove perfect. I would suggest you check out all speeds on a/c fan....sometimes lower speeds sound noisy. Take and play cd player (cd'.s go in upside down in the changer). Test drive aggressively on and off highway. No problems with mine yet but I am always listening.
  2. dallas, Don't you mean the G4 for you and the G3 for the wife ? LOL Congratulations on your purchase B) ← absolutely.....what was I thinking ;)
  3. Just recently purchased a 99 gs300 at lexus dealership in Atlanta. It had 130K on it but it had all service records at dealership. I test drove and fell in love with it. Totally immaculate. Paid $13,000. At that price I guess I could not go wrong from what I had read on this forum. Thinking about getting a gs400 for my wife. What year did the 2nd generation begin in the gs400?
  4. I figure that maybe the engine immobilizer was activated. How do I check if a relay was damanged. Is there a special fuse I should check? ← Just found a blown fuse....replaced it and starts right up...problem solved. Just need to put some shrink insulation on the wiring (better than electrical tape). Thanks!! ← Is was the #36 (AM2) fuse---Starting system---15 amp fuse

  7. Problem: lexus will not start. A mouse made a nest in my engine compartment and chewed two wires that come below the throttle body. A black wire and brown one. This started after I started the car, I opened the hood and began clearing debris from this area. The two wires touched and sparked, immediately turning the car off. I wrapped the exposed wires with electrical tape. In trying to start the car again, all instrument lights came on and dimmed when I tried starting. No luck. It is like I had a dead battery. Any ideas what this could be?? The wires are not burned. Could it be I need to reset something or maybe a fuse problem??
