How to identify leak from rear main bearing seal ? All I can share is the series of steps that mechanic ran through: Raised the car. Cleaned Oil Pan Started the car and pushed the gas to higher RPM. After a while one can see the oil coming out from rear of Oil Pan. Would you consider this to be a good enough a diagnosis?

Can Oil Pan be effectively re-sealed ? My 1999 Lexus ES 300 is leaking oil from Rear of Oil Pan. One of the mechanic suggested to reseal while other said that reseal never works. I am confused whom to trust. Any suggestions ?
