  1. I think the key reader is in the ignition if you have to take ignition out you have to turn it with the key then depress the pin that will unlock it.
  2. Check Coil pack switch from another cylinder see if there is a change when switched pack is plugged and unplugged on that cylinder. If no change check compression.
  3. Did you check output alternator? Did you check grounds? Charge battery then with car off remove cable pos or neg wait ten minutes put back start car look for codes. sounds like its a weak Alternator to me. gl
  4. I'm pretty sure there is a test they can sample antifreeze and look at hydrocarbon or C0 however large bubbles/overpressurised radiator usually means head gasket.:(
  5. Check tie rods, ball joints, Steering rack.
  6. GS400 200K still a great car going to keep it and rebuild trans and motor if they go. bought it with 198K has front drivers side damage fender and light paid 1900.00 love it!
  7. I think there is a key solenoid on column like a release. Check see if other key gets stuck key maybe worn?
  8. Hi check Radiator for blockage feel if hot on top cold on bottom. Also check thermostat stuck closed?

Hi all, Found out the best way to line up Lower control arm and bolts is to first put Bushing on spindle or long bolt from body next "take off tie rod" this will give you flexibility to line up bolts on caster arm it took me two hours of trying to line up bolts to figure this one out! After I took off tie rod it then took 3 minutes to install bolts! (Slap in far - head:).

Hi All First time Lexus GS400 owner! first time posting too, I Bought my Lex with 200K owner said she changed belt I checked, The belt it looked new with Gates writing on it, teeth also look mint I also checked Water Pump it looks diferent "newer" then rest of metal sorounding it. Belt was nice and tight.
