  1. Being that my car is only 4 yrs old, I shouldn't need a new steering rack. I'm not paying $3,000 for something that shouldn't even be happening. It's a Lexus, after all. So, I'm actually working with a case manager over at Lexus Headquarters to see if they can help me out in any way...
  2. So, I'm driving to school (about 50/60 miles) & all is fine. I get into the city and after I stop at a red light I merge onto the right lane & notice a difference in the steering wheel but I don't think much of it because as I'm driving straight it seems fine again. I make a u turn & it is so hard! It feels like I'm driving a really old car with completely no power steering fluid. I go to get my oil changed after after school that same day & I bring it to their attention.... low & behold they can't top my steering fluid because it's electrical (lmao!) I force them to test drive my car so they understand what I'm talking about & he stated the car drove smoothly, no check engine light (or any other warning lights) so he comes to a stop sign & makes a u turn & TADAAA!!! It seems to have locked up again! They advise me not to drive the car home as I can get into a serious accident so I take it to the nearest Lexus dealership (concord, ca)... they don't have time to look at it or test drive it like I asked. I just wanted peace of mind knowing what it MAY be but they said they don't want to assume... Not so happy about that. Shouldn't they provide customer service to my standard?? So, they give me the option to either drive my car back home & see what happens or get a loaner. I opt for the latter but am stuck paying $160 for them to run the scanner & diagnose it. I'm out of my warranty time frame so am stuck paying for it all! :/ I don't agree as there's no intervals set for changing your power steering fluids & I'm pretty sure that's the issue as I've researched here & there. Has this happened to anyone else? If I call headquarters can they help with the cost or anything else as it's nothing I did to have caused this.... SORRY for the length of this but I'm really frustrated & lost. O yeah, it's a 2009 is250 with 102,000 miles. PLEASE HELP!!!♥
