Dealer is Erin Park Lexus Toyota - Toronto.

The phone had not been used on my 94 LS. I have purchased the sending unit (mounts inside) and the antenna base and antenna form Lexus. There is no dealer in my area. I have spoken to several in other areas and none have serice people who can answer my questions with any confidence. Where does the antenna mount - on car body or glass? There appears to be an element from the defogger running throught the top centre of the rear window in a logicla position to mount the antenna. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have the same problem on my 94. I have spoken to several dealers about this. One replied that an electrical component (can't remember which one but can find out) in thedash has failed - 500.00 CAN$ to repair. Another suggested that two ground screws on the back of the display may have worked loose, making contact as car warms. He suggested pulling the display an tightening these. I have not tried either as thankfully the weather has been warm. I too would welcome input from others who may have had this problem.

I am attempting to make the bass output of this system more robust by enclosing the rear parcel shelf mounted speaker. A local auto sound tech. says that it is unusal now to use the trunk as the box, as is the case in my vehicle ('94) and proposes bulding an eclosure. I suspect I can do this myself and avoid his 250.00 charge. Has anyone found bass wanting on this system? Short of replaceing the system, what have others done? Thanks.

Bob: I have the same problem :!: A Lexus dealer in Toronto quoted a 500.00 price (labour and materials) for replacing the display with a new unit. I agree - Lexus should pay attention to this issue and offer some support($). A question to you and others - is this a user replacable item for someone with mechanical skill? Thanks.
