  1. Just from my perspective, I have a 2013 Obsidian LS460....and I cannot see any metallic in the paint. It is such a great color and quite easy to care for.
  2. I just wanted to throw my humble opinion out here, too. I have used this BG 44K for several years. My mechanic who I have known for about 25 years, recommended it for my 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood and my 1984 Eldorado convertible. I drive these car at least weekly, and the Eldo has over 130,000 miles on it! This product has kept my cars running beautifully. My current 2013 Lexus LS460 only has 20,000 miles, so have not used the product for this yet. I jus wanted to let readers know the BG products are all wonderful! And yes, your Lexus is very handsome....and the wheel so impressive. Thanks for sharing your story and photo!
  3. Impeccable build quality; exceptional reliability; pride of ownership
  4. I have a 2009 LS460 Truffle Mica with Alabaster leather. It is very striking and always gets wonderful comments. My car has 62,000 miles and the interior looks brand new. I have to agree one must be diligent in keeping the interior clean. Every time I wash the car, I check the interior, especially around the start button and the driver's door arm rest. I clean the door sill area every time with a little 409 and then rinse twice with plain water damp cloth. It looks like new. My previous Lexus LS430 had cashmere interior...and the same care kept it beautiful as well.
  5. Thank you very much for posting this. I found it interesting and helpful. I like using the voice commands....and this is excellent information.
  6. Thank you for this post! Actually, I was having the same issue and did not realize that the issue was with my android (T-Mobile Samsung S5) phone. Now that I understand that the phone must give permission, the LS460 HDD accepted the phone book just fine. What may have been obvious to others, was not so obvious to me. And I do appreciate the information! Thanks again!
  7. I found this discussion enlightening and especially in view of comparison on the engine sound of the LS460 with the LS430. I had a 2005 LS430 with less than 42,000 miles which I purchased a year ago (March 2014). It was the quietest car I have ever owned (and I have owned quite a few Cadillacs over the years). When at idle, I had passengers comment on the quiet....and ask if the engine was still running! The car was stolen in March 2015 and severely wrecked. I was very sad to lose this car. I have replaced it with a 2009 LS460. During the test drive, I did not notice the sound described above, but since then, I have spent some hours in the car (purchased in March, 2015), I have noticed the sound you all have described upon start up and during idling. At first, I was concerned something was wrong with the engine, but the dealer told me that all was well with the car during my last 60,000 mile service. I have come to accept the fact that the LS460 engine is really just different than the LS430 engine. I am very pleased with the performance and handling of this car, which feels like it has more presence and substance (and weight) than the LS430. However, after reading so many comments about engine sounds, I have come to accept that the LS460 engine is more audible under acceleration and idling than my previous LS430. However, once underway, it is serenely quiet and a dream to drive. I personally prefer the LS460 overall.
