  1. Can't tell you. I wound up ordering OEM Lexus pads online from Irontoad for about $90 for all 4 wheels. At that price it didn't make sense try and match up the part #'s with Toyota pads. Lee
  2. Spta97: This is off topic but I just want to say Hi...I recognize you from the explorer forum...Funny...you fix the GF's RX and I do the same with the wife's. And we both enjoy modding and maintaining our explorers. Good to see a friendly name on this board. Not nearly as many DIY'ers here but I found that the same principles apply. I think you're on the right track with the MAF, IAC FPR and fuel pump. I cleaned the RX's (51K) MAF last week and it was dirtier than I have seen in my Explorer. It really needed a new air filter which I also changed. Just a thought but with the weather here it could be a frozen fuel line if there is a chance any water may have gotten in. May want to try some dry gas or gas line antifreeze. These RX's really don't break down that much so it's more than likely something simple. On a side note, make sure the GF gets regular oil changes...engine sludge along with some tranny problems seems to be the only major issues with the RX Hope you get the problem fixed. Please report back and let us know it works out. Lee
  3. I second what Mikey says....Just changed the pads on the wife's 2000RX and the black and silver shims on all four wheels were there exactly as Mikey says. I reused the shims with OEM pads from Irontoad. FYI...didn't have any 'pad rattle' before and none after so far. Lee
  4. Thanks a bunch lordzatez....this is exactly the info I was looking for. Appreciate your help. Lee
  5. Okay, The OEM Lexus Brake pad Part #'s are: Front: 04465-48060 Rear: 04466-33050 Unfortunately these numbers will do you no good at the Toyota Dealer...apparently Lexus and Toyota use 2 different parts numbering systems. So does anyone know the Toyota part numbers for the front and rear pads on a 2000 RX? FYI...My Lexus dealer wants $75.00 per side or $150.00 total for the front and rear OEM pads. I can buy the same pads on-line for $45.00 per side ($90.00 for the front and rears). Now, if I knew the exact Toyota part numbers I could stop at the local Toyota dealer and save on the shipping. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Lee
  6. Anyone have the part #'s for OEM front and rear brake pads for a 2000RX? Also is there a separate shim kit needed?...If so, I need the part # for it to. I'm looking to go to the Toyota dealer to pick up the parts and want to avoid and Lexus/Toyota confusion if any. Thanks, Lee
  7. Okay, I'm a newbie here and figured I'd look around and search as much as possible before posting a question or topic that's been discussed before. I figured one of the best places to start was in the 'pinned' Frequently Asked Questions thread at the top of this page. So I click on that thread and get the following: "This thread contains links to other threads which contain the answers to those questions which are frequently asked about the Lexus RX range. Only the forum moderators may add to this thread - if you feel a question should be included in this FAQ, please contact a moderator." That's it...no links to other threads as it says...nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Do I not understand how to use this thread? Can anyone enlighten me. Thanks, Lee
