  1. I would be very happy to send you the manual but I can't figure out how to add an attachment.
  2. Can I reply with an attachment? Can't figure out how to do it...
  3. I have a 2013 ES350 and when I saw other cars with the BSM I wanted them. I ordered the moldings from a dealer in Texas for $99.99 including shipping. I installed them myself on a July afternoon with my wife as an assistant. It's much easier when you have someone hold the moldings while you align them and finally press onto the car. Took about one hour with prep and precise measuring. IMO they look beautiful. The molding breaks up the long sweep of the door. The Satin Cashmere moldings matched the paint perfectly and I got these installed - with my labor - for half of what the dealer wanted. As far as protection goes, I park my car away from all other vehicles. I'm paranoid that I'll get a door ding from some idiot who couldn't care less. So, thankfully, I can't say if it works or not. I do know that it looks good. If you would like to see the installation manual for this let me know as I still have it online. Good Luck whatever you decide, but I really like the moldings.
  4. BTW, I tried pasting the links to both sites - Amazon and Club Lexus for you but couldn't on this site. Couldn't figure it out.
  5. The device can be purchased on Amazon - It is a Vgate ELM327 Bluetooth scan tool. You must go into the Google Play Store and install the Carista app for Android which is free. I don't know if it's available for Apple IPhone. I haven't received my order yet so I don't know exactly how it will work. If you go onto the Club Lexus blog under 2013 - 14 Lexus ES350/300 under "vehicle customization" you will find the post advising about this tool. The developer of this app states that once installed and using the tool, you can change any of the "dealer only" items in your vehicle computer. Sounds good to me and the tool is inexpensive so I'll give it a shot and see. Good Luck with your car...
  6. In the 2013 ES350 "vehicle customization" section of the OB computer, there are some things that can be changed by the owner, and some ONLY by the dealer. Problem is, if you don't have all the desired changes made at the 5k inspection, you have to pay after that. Well now I find that there is a device that can be attached to the vehicle OB diagnostic port and along with a Bluetooth enabled smartphone, one can access all the "dealer only" items and change whatever you want. The device can be ordered from Ebay or Amazon and costs about $15.00. BTW I found out this info on the CL web site. Google the word "Carista" and you will find it. BC
  7. I ordered and installed splash guards on my 2013 Lexus 350. I believe that the 2014 is the same. I ordered them on Ebay and installed them front and back with no issues. The fronts match perfectly with the factory screws. One 10mm on the bottom and two on the side. The fronts took me about 15 minutes, look beautiful, and protect the rockers from stones and mud. The rears DO NOT have factory screws to match up to. I aligned the guards, marked the screw (mounting) holes, and drilled thru the PLASTIC fender. No chance of rust here. One bottom screw and two on the side. Installed easily and look like factory installed. I did not paint mine as I have Satin Cashmere paint and think that the black is a great contrast. They look great on my car and efficiently protect the beautiful paint. Especially after the severe winter we just had here in Pennsylvania. Good Luck with the install.
  8. A guy actualy wrote 27 pages evaluating the ML system? The guy was either being paid my ML if it was positive, or a competitor if the review was negative. Personaly, I think the guy was off his medication. lol The 27 pages consisted of pro and con by established members of the web site. By reading the posts one would gather that a problem does exist with the subwoofer, and that ML is addressing the problem along with Lexus. I don't have the ML option and am happily satisfied with the premium system that came with my car. 27 pages to tell you there is a problem with a 10"inch speaker? I can see 27 pages for a review of "War and Peace", but really, I have to see this for myself. Can you post a link of this disertation? I would but don't know how to post a link of a specific thread...

  10. I test drove a Buick LaCrosse turbo before buying my '13 350. I found the ride satisfactory but not as smooth as the Lexus. The fabric sunroof cover really disappointed me. Even though the Buick had more HP - I think around 300 - I felt that the 270 HP Lexus had better acceleration. I also drove an Infiniti and didn' t think that car measured up to the Lexus either. I have just passed the 2000 mile mark and hear no tire noise at all with Michelin MX4's. I find the cabin to be extremely quiet and have the premium sound system - not the $4000. Mark Levinson system. FYI on another Lexus blog you will find a post 27 pages long regarding issues with this option. I agree with the other members that only you can decide what car is for you. What I think is fabulous you might not. Lexus is consistently ranked at the top for resale value and build quality. I believe that their dealers are first rate due to the many remarks from members and my own experiences.
  11. I had the USB music issue when attempting to play songs from my USB with itunes data. I found that to play music on our system the music must be converted to MP3 format from the itunes data. In other words, you would open itunes, select any music you want to transfer to USB, and convert it to MP3 format. Once I did this it worked beautifully. I also made seperate folders for each artist or category of music on my PC for transfer to the USB drive. As far as the video I cannot help you.
  12. The kit I bought consists of vent trim, window switch trim front and rear, steering wheel including radio controls and phone, radio, console including both cup holder lids, rear (back seat) vent, and gear selector. Some of the wood came installed from the factory but was included in the kit as well. My kit had 52 pieces and was around $250.00. I have a Parchment interior and Satin Cashmere paint.
  13. I'm really excited that it seems many of you have found some good products and good vendors. I'm still a little confused about what the kits look like for the 2013 ES350. I went to the CARID site as you mentioned video272 and went to the ES350 index. But all of the sample photos regardless of kit type, showed a Cadilac as the finished example. Can anyone fill in the blanks? (in my head) Thanks, Paul As I previously stated, I purchased the complete kit for a 2013 ES350 from Trimstop who is a B&I Trim dealer. The factory wood color is shown online on the B&I web site - it is Birdseye Maple - and matches the factory installed wood grain perfectly. If you don't want to match the factory wood color there are many others to choose from. I recently finished installing my Bird's Eye Maple kit in the ES350.One piece is missing as it was incorrect for my car. Otherwise it is finished. It turned out perfect and looks beautiful. I can send you photos if you like.
  14. I ordered the complete kit from www.trimstop.com - 52 pieces. I got the factory color for the '13 350 which is birdseye maple. Some of the pieces in this kit are already on the car from the factory. Additionally, there are some trim pieces that I don't plan on attaching at all. I have installed about half the pieces and they have gone on flawlessly and look beautiful. The kit was $250. with a discount coupon. Took about 3 weeks to get it. Unfortunately they do not have the Bamboo color for the 300h currently, but state that it will be available in the future.
  15. I purchased the wood kit for my '13 350 from www.trimstop.com. However, it was for the factory color - not Bamboo. Try checking with them to see if they have your Bamboo kit. I paid $250. for a complete kit and have installed about half of it so far. It has gone on perfectly so far and I have followed their instructions carefully. I'll post a photo when I'm finished. Here in PA the weather just started to warm up - past 70F - as you cannot install it under 70. Another web site to check with is www.bitrim.com. Let us know how you make out video272.
