  1. Thanks for the quick reply. My phone in a Google Pixel 2 and when I play Pandora in my car the music streams just fine, but there is no data on the screen of my car. My friend has a new Buick and I paired with his system with my phone and the music steamed just fine and the screen had all of the data, so I do not think it is a phone problem. I thought you might have hit on something with the delete and reinstall Pandora, but I did that and no change, stil streaming music but no data on screen.
  2. What setting do I need to use to make my information screen on my 2012 LS460 show the name of the album, artist, and song being played. My friends 2010 Lexus shows the information when he is using Pandora via bluetooth, mine does not. The boxes on the display screen just show stars. If I pair my phone on his car the system works but it will not do the same on my car, therefore I would guess I need to change a setting on my car to get it to work.
  3. I had a problem with my 1993 cutting out at 4500 rpm's. Problem existed for 2 years and 20,000 miles. Car ran fine if I did not go above 4500 rpm's. Finally car go worst and it turned out to be the crank sensor. Changed it and everything is fine.
  4. Ok, after a lot of work and changing the cam sensors, we went back to the KISS principal, keep it simple stupid, and started checking things out again. The car ran fine with the covers off the engine but ran very rough when the covers were put back on. My mechanic was checking the wires while the car was running with the covers off and found out the hard way that the drivers side coil wire was arcing. This was detected when he got a good charge of 12 volts DC to his hand. It appears that the plastic covers were shoving the ignition wires down closer to the engine and causing it to arc through the broken insulation. Installed new wiring and now car runs just fine. Thanks for the help. Live and learn.
  5. 1993 ls 400 with new ecu rebuild, new coil paks, new cranksensor. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks later when the car started running on 4 cylinders. Checked timing belt, it was OK. RPM needle is jumping around, not normal. What feeds the rpm needle? Is it in one of the coils, or does it come from the cam sensor? If yes to either one, what coil or which cam sensor sends the signal? I really need some input on this problem.
