Hi All, Finally got around to signing on as a member, but have referenced the site many times in the past. So just wanted to say hello and thanks for all your tips and advice. I've had a GX470 for the past five years, so happy to share any of my experiences with the 1st gen GX. Had a 4Runner for the previous 10 years, so pretty familar with the Toyota/Lexus SUVs. Third owner with over 170K and still running strong. No major issues, and we have put about 80K miles on it. Rear airbag failed so I converted to coilovers to eliminate costly sensor issues. Seems to go through rear brakes quickly over the last 50K miles, but we do live in the hills. Minus the gas mileage, it's been great and very reliable. Now basically sticking to the oil changes and tire rotations every 5K.
