  1. Search the entire board for this problem. You will find a company that has a solution for this.
  2. What passcode did you use to get it working. I have a 7100g with a LS430 05. Is there a specific version of bluetooth you need? Help! ← I got it working after 3 days of trying. Some notes: I needed to delete all of the phones installed Remove all phone types Reset or turn car off and on to reset Unit Enable Bluetooth on BB Set type to Bluetooth Handsfree (on car) Set type to Bluetooth Handsfree (on BB 7100) Set BB to Discoverable Select Trusted to yes under device properties Select "find devices" on BB - I tried this at least 10 times Select "Setting" on car - will start device search (1 minute time out) Hold BB near the GPS unit display - don't ask me why... Should be prompted to enter passcode (0000) Select "Add Phones" (on car) - should display BB device Select BB device Once all of the setting have been set then you need to "OK" everything and restart the unit or car. I was not taking notes during this process. I was actually getting ready to return the BB because I could not get it to work. I cannot promise this will work but it might be a good start. Good luck. I have not tried to sync the contacts list or calendar.

  4. I am getting it installed tomorrow. I will report back with the details. Sirius Now Available Nationwide on Select Lexus Vehicles and Toyota's Land Cruiser - Toyota Offers SIRIUS as Post-Production or Dealer Installed Option Starting Today with 2005 Lexus LS430, Lexus ES330, and 2006 Lexus LX470, and Land Cruiser Vehicles - Program Scheduled to Expand to Additional Toyota and Lexus Vehicles this Summer NEW YORK, June 13, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) today announced that Toyota is now offering SIRIUS as a post-production (prior to dealership delivery) or dealer-installed option on the 2005 model year Lexus LS430 and Lexus ES330, and on the 2006 model year Lexus LX470 and Land Cruiser vehicles. SIRIUS' availability is scheduled to expand to additional Toyota and Lexus vehicles this summer. 5. I did not receive any additional information regarding the antenna. I have included the information I posted last month on what to expect. Thanks "A couple of additional positives to mention specifically related to the SIRIUS hardware is that the Lexus installation time for SIRIUS compared to XM hardware will be shorter thus saving you money and secondly you'll be getting our new SIGMA interior glass mounted antenna which means you won't have a large black antenna sitting on the rear fender of your new LS430. Our antenna will mount on the inside of your front windshield up behind the rear view mirror meaning the exterior aesthetics of your LS430 will remain in tact."
  6. I just received word from Sirius Radio the date the hardware needed for will be available. The date is 6/13/05. This is the date the hardware will become available for dealers to purchase. Based on previous history this might slip but we need to recognize that Sirius is trying to keep us Lexus owners in the loop. This hardware will allow us to receive Sirius without any additional external devices except for the antenna.
  7. Based on my experience that is high. I had a price of 61K from pohanka in VA in January. All options except rear seat upgrade.
  8. I agree with you. The LS430 is the best. I have all of the options except the backseat option and I would expect you are going to pay ~65K for everything. I would use the internet and get the largest dealers in your area to bid. I found that most(all) will match your best price so start with the dealer price and don't flinch. Regardless of what they say eventually they will meet your price. Buy it at the end of the month. Good luck.
  9. ← I work near Pohanka Lexus and I thought their service center was really nice and facilitated how to get easy service. I only got my tire repaired. I thought their prices were high but the surroundings were great. Office area for 20 with internet hookup and free coffee, cokes, donuts, and chips. I did notice their car detailing was high (250) compared to Lexus of Silver Spring (175). They were not willing to negotiate on the price. I would rather a lexus mechanic work on my car vs. a Toyota mechanic. I would be interested in an independent mechanic. Did you have a negative experience with Pohanka? Thanks.
  10. I agree with all of your comments. I have a 2005 ls430 and I did not realize this was an issue until several weeks after owning the car. I saw a thead that discussed what is needed to "eliminate" the speed sensor. Apparently, this is very simple to do but my Lexus dealer would not do it. I would be interested in hearing from 2005 owners that have done this. We need to find a solution for this before I kill myself trying to dial my cell phone when driving. Thanks
  11. Stupid Question: What does Lexus recommend to get the smooth ride we all love in our Lexus cars.
  12. I have a 2005 LS430 with Dunlap tires. I am very happy with them so far (9K) but I am not sure why Dunlap was not considered as a replacement. I agree that replacing it at 25k hurts but the ride is incredible with these tires. Is Dunlap tires the only OEM tire being sold for this model. Please note: I am not sure if I would recognize bad tires on the car. Thanks for the help. Also, I am putting 500 miles a week on the car so tire replacement is in my near future. I think I am looking for the best ride possible from a tire perspective. Thanks again for the education. GO Lexus.
  13. I thought the new 2006 LS would be the LS 500. I hear the price will be in the range of 80-100K. I have a 2005 LS 430 and it is great.
  14. Wow. Where are you coming from? I am an owner of a 2005 LS 430 car that is four months old. Before buying the car I inquired about the Sirius radio option and the ability to have it without an external radio. This option was supposed to be available in February and it was not. I inquired about it and expressed my frustration with Lexus and Sirius about the lack of information that is available. I actually received a response and posted it to the board so other members would be made aware of the situation. As an advanced member, you are an idiot and maybe should go and by a 1990 BMW. Your irrational response to this problem is why car manufactures don’t respond to questions. As a owner of NEW Lexus, the cup is half full. P.S. I did not write the response. It was Don Tryon from Sirius P.S.S Now I understand what a Advance Member is.
  15. Response back from Sirius Radio - Goog News Rebecca Schnall passed along your inquiry to me so I thought I would respond directly since I manage the Sirius/Toyota relationship. At the time the press release was issued last year it was both Toyota & SIRIUS' intention to have the Sirius hardware kits ready for launch in Feb 2005 as stated. As is sometimes the case with the development of electronic products, it was determined that a few additional software changes needed to be made so that the hardware would work seamlessly with all Toyota, Scion and Lexus vehicles. At the present time our expectation is that the kit for your LS430 should become available sometime in May or June. Also, rest assured the radio in your vehicle is in fact already SIRIUS-Ready so you will be able to get SIRIUS installed without having to upgrade or swap out your current radio. A couple of additional positives to mention specifically related to the SIRIUS hardware is that the Lexus installation time for SIRIUS compared to XM hardware will be shorter thus saving you money and secondly you'll be getting our new SIGMA interior glass mounted antenna which means you won't have a large black antenna sitting on the rear fender of your new LS430. Our antenna will mount on the inside of your front windshield up behind the rear view mirror meaning the exterior aesthetics of your LS430 will remain in tact. I hope this information is what you are looking for and thanks again for your patience and support of Sirius! Should you have any additional questions feel free to contact me anytime. As soon as I have exact timing for release of the SIRIUS hardware for the LS430 I will let you know. Sincerely, Don Tryon VP, Asian OEM Accounts DTryon@siriusradio.com
