  1. Yes try checking to make sure your parking light switch is not on "auto". I keep my light swicth off all the time and disconected my highbeam bulbs because these are used as daytime running lights. I personally dont like the way the running lights look on my 09RX350, they are somekind of yellow. To me my RX looks cleaner without any lights on during the day. But everyone has their opinion.
  2. I have disconnected the whole radio from the 2008 Lexus iS while I was working on it, plugged it in an hour later and the radio worked 100%. I did not need to input any code. No code is needed. Hope this helps
  3. My recomendation is for you to replace the factory radio with a aftermarket radio of your choosing. Aftermarket ipod adapters are good but also expensive for your 2001 lexus, for the same money you can get all the latest goodies like bluetooth, ipod, iphone, aux connections and mp3 and radio tuner. I do this al the time for my customers. mejiadon7@aol.com or at you tube @ protinttemplecityca.
  4. It is always better to use a amp to power the car speakers. whether you use the factory or aftermarket amp the more power the better your speakers will sound. A radio by itself will give you sound but not the same output and you will be disapointed with the sound.Ive learned that dealing with aftermarket equipment you always have to compromise, for example the small popping noise that will occur when the factory amp is turning on.I have found it easier to go to each door harness and get the speaker wires there when Ive done a amp by pass install. mejiadon7@aol.com or @ you tube protinttemplecityca.
  5. Just the factory radio will turn on the factory cd changer they have the same languge and the same connectors
  6. Hey guys this is Juan aka DARK GRAY RX350 Im a car audio video tech for 15 years out of LA. From my experience the earlier 2000s Lexus RX models are the hardest vehicle dashes to work with. But Ive got good neews for everyone out there that is interested in adding a aftermarket doubledin navigation radio with all the goodies of today, like bluetooth, ipod or iphone connection, aux or usb inputs aswell as DVD playback and am-fm tuner.Ive been able to modify the existing radio dash and move the AC control unit and fit a aftermarket double din radio. No problem. Im in Temple City,Ca.Let me know if you want this done to your earlier Lxus RX300. email: mejiadon7@aol.com or leave a comment.
  7. I have a 2008 Lexus RX350 and have exreme cabin pressure at 45mph when rear windows are down and front windows are fully closed. THe Lexus dealer said this is "normal cabin pressure", but I almost crashed the first time my son rolled down his rear window as we were on the freeway. It is extremely painfull to be expossed to. Have any of you had this issue? How did you fix this problem? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
