  1. Traveling at highway speed last week and the check engine and track off lights lit up on my dashboard. I slowed down and checked everything I could think of all seems fine. Did not notice any difference in performance of the car so I kept going. The lights were off when I started the car after it cooled down so I thought it was just a fluke thing. Now the lights came on and don't go off. Does anyone have a clue?
  2. Apparently? Find out for sure whether or not these two screens have been cleaned: http://www.saber.net/~monarch/pscreen.JPG http://www.saber.net/~monarch/psclean.jpg Another very common source of fluid leakage is a worn out power steering air control valve (also known as an idle up valve) http://www.saber.net/~monarch/removeairvalve.JPG ← I have been reading this posting with great interest as I am having the same problem. My local mechanic is suggesting that I would need to replace the rack also. After reading this I am not so sure. I was able to print the .jpg file for the air valve above, but the links for the ps screens are not working. Would you be able to send those to my e-mail address or re-post them? I think that I now have enough info to talk with the mechanic. twr
  3. Boy do I feel like an idiot. I took my car to a mechanic friend out of town and we started troubleshooting. Sure enough Tom you were right. Fuse #10 was the culprit. I need to read the diagram better next time. :chairshot: thanks for your help. now I'm off to find out about a power steering pump problem.
  4. Sorry Tom I was out of town for a few days. I changed #2 HTR for the A/C and rear window defogger and I changed #10 CIG for the Cigarette lighter, ...
  5. no luck with either the lighter (my cell phone plug) or the heater controls. The display is blank and nothing works.
  6. Found this post and thought I was in business. Walked out to the car and found a penny in the lighter socket. Ran to the store and bought fuses. Found the fuse in the owners manual but when I pulled it it looked fine. I replaced it anywhat but NO LUCK. Any other ideas? Please HELP it's getting cold here in WI.
