  1. Claud, VGR Very well said! Its nice to have a product that fits everyone's needs.
  2. I must be driving along a clean path. :D I hope you find what you need. Good luck!
  3. Congratulations on the new purchase! Take a closer look at the body style whereby the lower panels do not curve inward like the older body style. Not much road debris, if at all ends up on the body. I initially thought the same, however I'm convinced its not necessary to have mud guards, unless its for cosmetic reasons.
  4. Sounds like Brasso is no different than using my kids used diaper. try brasso, it seems to work well. Do you hate it when you get poor advice? :chairshot:
  5. Thanks for your comments! I agree, I hate it when I see a poorly detailed black car with swirl marks. I suppose I need to choose between my wheels or my freedom, though I'm still leaning toward the black.
  6. I'm thinking my next Lexus will be black in color. Anyone has thoughts on quality and durability of Lexus paints? My vehicle is garaged when I'm not a work. Unfortunately, my workplace does not have covered stalls.
  7. [] try brasso, it seems to work well. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=15868 ← Whats this Brasso stuff? Sounds like a harsh cleaner.
  8. Try Zaino Leather in Bottle. This works really well and it smell better than Lexol (at least to me)
  9. Anyone try Zymol Japon wax (blue-ish paste)? In reading various post in other detailing forums seems that Zymol is a great product. The significant shortfall of Zymol is that it does not last very long.
  10. I tried the 3M product, the cleaner and polish. It seemed to work well. :)
  11. Someone previously told me that some extended warranty programs not sold by Lexus often first point to after-market non-genunine Lexus parts. Also, the dealership generally takes longer to process claims and complete repairs as a result. Is this true? If you're planning on keeping your car beyond the 4-year factory warranty period, then I'm a real believer in the extended warranty program. In the past, my cost of repairs far exceeded the cost of the extended warranty.
  12. First of all, I'm new to the site and thank you all for the great comments. Secondly, not to sell short the MB...I think folks are buying the C-Class are looking for the MB status. The MB E-Class and above owners actually frown upon the C-Class and carries no status with them according to several MB folks I know. I also forgot to mention in my previous post that I also drove the 04 Acura TL. Great car if you're looking for something fast, however short on luxury. I'd choose the TL over the C-Class and my first choice being the 05 ES, luxury features superior and more value for the money.
  13. Okay here's my observation: I test drove the C-class and very disappointed. The steering was very heavy, like the two front tires were flat. The supercharge 4cyl is not too impressive. Not worth the money. MB should trash this model as not MB like. Never drove the IS and went straight for the ES. Very nice riding vehicle with rich interior. The 05 (though not sporty incomparison to its competitors) has nice upgrades with the new 17" rims, chrome features. The luxury got me and I bought the 05.
