Hello all, have bought a '99 LX 470 which needs new tires. I have searched and found a few things here....285/75-16 can fit stock vehicle, Mich LTX M/S are great tires, etc.
My question is: if I go to the 285 size, all I can find are LT tires, load range D. With the higher pressures noted, and the load capability, will my ride quality suffer? How much? Any other options to get a little bigger than stock 275/70-16? A little more agressive tread pattern might be OK too. I do a little 4wheeling each summer in So Colorado, mostly well traveled dirt roads over passes with some snow and mud. Rest of the time I sit in traffic in the DFW area :-)
PS Came over from Jeep ('98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Ltd), have to admit the jeepsunlimited.com site is a million times more active than here. Guess fewer of these vehicles and fewer mods available??
