thats stinks!you will have to buy the whole light because i dont think you can find a cover. you have to really take your time with the tail lights because the are a bit fragile.they need alot of heat and slow prying to open them up.ebay sometimes has them but if not try the junk yard and you might get lucky.good luck

of course theres a way but if your not mechanically inclined i wouldnt try it.all you really have to do is run a new line to either the power port or the ciggerette lighter strait from the battery this way its allways on.i would put a fuse in between the new line if you do plan to do it though.if not do what steve said and just get a charger for the office.

not much you can do once it fades like that!i think the best bet is get it replaced.im sure the dealer can do it but it might be pricey.

i have a stock amp for your year.i will let it go for 100 bucks if you want it.i had bought 2 different amps at a local flea market and one was for the 97 an up es.i know it works fine so if it could save you some bucks just pm me. good luck either way :D

yea thanks to the rain i didnt come.i watched the weather and figured it would be canceled so i didnt bother driving all the way up there to get disappointed when nobody shows up.i now see some of yous did go so maybe i should of came.a little late for that though ;) hope yous had a good time!

Well I don't know about THAT ;) well ok maybe not as nice interior as the es300 but body style is very nice.overall though i would take the es300 only because of the interior and reliablity.if i was worried only about looks then maybe the maxima but overall es300 is the better car. anyhow im hooked on lexus so if i had an option to buy either a brand new lexus or a new infinity it would without a doubt be a lexus!

ive allways been a big fan of infinitys but that one m45 in that picture up top is just plain ugly in my opinoin!i wouldnt take it for free.(ok well maybe for free) ;) now the some of the other models are by far the best looking cars out there right now.i love how they look and the style plus performance is without a doubt the best in there class.even the maximas are looking great.better then the es300 in my opinoin.overall infinty will be getting better and better as more people take notice on how nice they are.in phily there already tons of them on the road.there becoming very popular over here. im also liking the new lexus linup.the new gs that i seen in pictures is looking very very nice.(sort of like infinty).overall lexus,infinty,acura is way ahead of the germans.(that s500 mercades is one sweet looking car though!!!! :D

you guys are right about the front cover but as for the back plugs i never toke the intake manifold off to get them out..al you need is a good set of ratchets with the swivel sockets on them and you can get right in there and turn the plugs out.im pretty sure theres alot of info on this if you try a search.if you still need help let me know and i will try to help.good luck

welcome to the club! if it is the same problem you had before and they fixed it saying it was deposits then its most likely the same thing again.i never heard of it before personally.usally its a sensor or the car need a tune up. as for under carrige cleaning i doubt that coused your problem but some times water can cause rust and then some elctrical parts wont make contact and that can cause problems.if possible just check under the car and under the hood for any rust around any electrical components.if nothing then take to the mechanic for the codes to be read and see if anything comes up.pepboys will do it for free.good luck

yea that sounds good see if you can make it to the meet we are all going too.doing it your self is great and you feel proud after a good install! mp3 discs are the greatest!i have 3 discs totaling over 500 songs and dont ever need a cd changer.i have the pioneer 7500 so i can scroll thru all the songs and read what each one is like im on a computer.cool stuff!anyway let us know about the meet!im from philly and im going so delaware isnt much further.

i would just sell it and get something newer.if your budget is very tight like most people then maybe just go for something a little newer like a 96 or up.i say 95 or 96 because you said you like that body style and they are a bit newer and upgraded.different motor etc..then yours.if you have a little more money then go a step further and try out a 98 or 99 es or how about a is?just giving you some opinoins and hope it works out. i bet you will miss your car once its gone though!i know i did when i sold my last car.but its better to get rid of it now before there real problems start with it.good luck :D

thats exactly what i would do.i would charge it back if you paid thru a credit card.also file complaints with the better buisness and any other place you could.dont let them just beat you for 50 percent of that money!thats there fault not yours!

bbsal, I agree with you about black looking great when it's nice and clean. I've owned 2 black ES300s (including my current '01), and my passion for that deep rich color never fails on me ;) Hey bbsal, I see that you're on the list for the NE Lexus meet on the 25th this month. Hope to see your black/black ES at the meet (as that will bring me back memories of my '96 Coach Edition!) :D yep i will be there with the es!i am going to do a complete detail a day or 2 before the meet this way it looks nice! steve i agree black wouldnt be good for you because you would be going crazy cleaning it everyday!i can tell by just the way you are with the color you have now so i could imagine black!lol :D

co'mon steve yes black does show alot of dirt but it sure looks the best of any color!!its worth the upkeep! :D

i agree.just because a light is annoying you it dont mean the car is bad or a lemon!go get it checked out and its most likley a cheap fix.dont do what i use to do and just sell the car because of minor issues!i made that mistake before and shouldnt of so firt get it fixed and go from there. now if down the road a little it starts acting up with a ton of annoying things then sell it but at least you had it long enough to know the car.1 month is not long enough to tell if the car is really bad or just in need of some minor fixes.good luck

lol i like the color theroy. :D well i drive a black on black and must agree that you dont see many women driving black on black cars!!most womes like red,tan,silver,and white or maybe even blue but hardley ever black.my neighborhood like i said is almost all men driving luxury cars like the es,ls etc..most women go for the smaller type cars. all in all the es300 whoever is driving it looks good in any color,with any age,race,s*x etc.... :D

sw03es is right there is no lexus with hub caps!its either aftermarket rims and hub caps or hes talking about the center cap on a lexus rim.need to see a pic also to really see what he has.

cheaper yes but not as good in my opinoin.everytime i use platnium they dont last long for me.maybe its me but i used platnium in almost all my cars and had to switch them out pretty fast because they would foul out.try the iridiums and see how they are and they should last you longer. remember sometimes its good to save money if your buying the same thing at a cheaper price but not good if your buying something that wont last as long as the more expensive item.your choice though and both are better then a standard plug.

could be!i would allways try the tune up first and a good fuel cleaning as well and then see how it is.if its still like that then get the tranny flushed too.i think its probably a tune up that it needs.make sure you clean the throttlw body out as well as the fuel injectors.you can get the fuel cleaning done at most mechanic shops and some oil change places do it.good luck

i had a problem just like that with my es300 and it was just in need of a good tune up.also tyr a good fuel cleaning.if it still does it then it must be a sensor somewere faulting out.first try the tune up and fuel and see if it works.

in philly its almost all men that drive the es300.mostly white itallion guys like myself but theres quite a few chinese with them as well but diffenitly all men. most chic cars down here are mits eclipse,honda accord,mercades coupes,honda civics,and such. men cars down here are (alllseries)lexus,bmw,acura,mustangs,camaros,and infinitys. all depends on the driver i guess but i dont think any lexus is a chics car.but thats my opinoin. :D
