  1. I looked at the A6 before considering the GS F. I forget the three 'levels' it comes in but I looked at the top one. I like the acceleration and the handling but I wasn't overly impressed. The model had all the bells and whistles like the touch pad, enhanced audio, etc. I liked it, not loved it, but liked it. What I didn't like was the a la cart pricing. The baseline price had none of the bells in my test drive model. After adding every single feature that I saw and wanted, the price was slightly over my upper limit. That was going to be the car I got in a couple of months. That weekend, I was casually looking at the Lexus web sight, never really considering them but I had heard good things from friends and family. The styling of the GS 350 F interested me. I test drove one the next day and bought it the day after. The handling was better, the acceleration was better, you got a lot of gadgetry in the base line model and the few additional things they had in the one I wanted was still nearly 20K less than the Audi. Bottom line, value for money award goes to the Lexus. I'll take 'German engineered, Japanese built' over 'German engineered, German built' if it means 20K less any day.
  2. Hello, I have a 2013 GS350 F-Sport and a 5th generatoin 160GB iPod with about 6000 songs (approx 43GB). I plug it in and the songs are available right away but the 'a-z,0-9' index buttons are greyed out. They were eventually available but only after about 30+ mins of driving around. Before that, you had to search through the songs sequentially. That is to say, you could not jump the the letter the song title started with. I hooked to iPod up to my computer to remove about 300 songs then plugged it back into the car. Again the songs were made available immediately but only sequentially with the 'index letters' greyed out. This time, instead of driving around, I left the car on in the garage. Started at 7:07pm, at 8:43pm, the letters were still greyed out. It's a 5th gereration iPod classic so it's harddrive based. As not to delay the indexing by having to fight a songs linear read, i pause the song. Still takes forever. Does anyone know how to speed this process up? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello, I have a 2013 GS350 F-Sport I like the color pallet the GPS uses as night. I want to make that a permanent color pallet all the time. How do I force the GPS to use the 'night colors' during the day as well? I've tried: * Using the dimmer buttons located left of the steering wheel. * Turning 'Automatic Screen Change' to 'off' in the setup menu * Selecting and de-selecting 'Daylight Mode' when you hit the 'Display' button in the main menu. I've asked the dealership but no joy so far. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
