  1. Hi Russ, Do you have any suggestions on changing the radiator coolant? Is it as simple as removing the drain plug and fluid, then refill it the recommended fluid and water? Any suggestions about things to watch out for as I am doing it would be helpful. By the way, my RX300 has 71K miles and its been very reliable. Thanks, If anyone beside Russ done this before, I would be glad to hear from you. David
  2. I got 71K on my 2000 model. Runs great. Only thing I've ever done is regular filter oil, transmission fluid change, tire rotation, wheel alignment, put regular unleaded gas, and wash it twice a month. I haven't change the brakes or tune it up yet. The mileage is mainly freeway miles. It still run like it was new. David
  3. Nope, have not hear anything unsual I have 1k miles so far.
  4. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I had a chance to do more testing on some hills. It does appear to be working. However, I still wonder why my GX rolled back less than 5 secs, at least it felt that way. I wonder if the grade of the slope(steep parking lot driveway) might have something to do with the way the feature works. Anyway, I am not sweating that much over it since its working but I will be monitor it more closely when I go to that same parking lot next time. thanks, I am loving my GX so far, has 1k miles on it. David
  5. Hello fellow owners, I hope someone would know the answer to this. It doesn't look like this feature is working on my GX. When come out of the parking lot that has a short steep short incline, when I take the foot off the brake, my GX would roll backward until I step on the gas quickly. If I don;t do it, the car behind me would get hit, quite dangerous if you are driving on those hilly San Franciso hills Looking at the manual, its my understanding that this is suppose to prevent the car from rolling backward once I no longer step on the brakes. The only conditions the car has to be in is: 1) When the transmission is in any of the positions: D, 4, 3, 2, L 2) The brake pedal is not depressed Am I missing something? thanks, everyone! David
  6. Nice wheels, but don't plan on changing it any time soon. I like the current one the way it is.
  7. This is a great tip a fellow owner. I took the suggestion and took my filter out and washed it with cold water. After its dried, popped it back in and it works like new.
  8. Hello all, I might have hear this from someone long time ago, so now I am stuck with this notion that I should do my first oil change for my 2004 GX at around 1K miles or less. I now have 200 miles on it. Not sure if there is any validity to this, in a nutshell the reason is that during the engine break in period, extra particles are produced by the engine. Is this a myth or fact? Love to save that extra money for a movie or something. If any expert out there know about this, please share your thoughts. thanks, DC
  9. Very odd. Couple days later the problem went away. So I am curious why this would happen. Anyway, I will inform the dealer to check it during the 30 days service checkup.
  10. I probably got lucky. If I am interpreting the Nav correctly, it shows that I have version 4.1. I just got my 2004 GX in November.
  11. Hello everyone, I got my 2004 GX over the weekend. One of the first thing I noticed was that the driver side window does not continously roll down or up when I push the button. Once I take my finger off the button, the window stops rolling. Other windows appear to roll up or down fine with one firm push of the button. When driving at night, I've also noticed that the light on the window button blinks intermittently and others are not having this behavior. Anyone encounter this before or may know a fix? Thanks, Great forum, I am learning alot from all the GX owners on this forum. David
