  1. Well I looked around a tried the fit of a few against a removed Nakamichi speaker. Thought I had one with the pioneer 4in at circuit city but the 4 mounting holes don't line up. SO I tried the Boston S45 in the rear and good fit. The connections have changed since 1995 so you will need to splice the negative (white with black) to make a good commection. The boston are a little deeper but it does not matter in the rear. May matter in the door but dont know. The sound is good but I am not an audiophile. The cost was $99 for a pair but there is probably a better cost out there. There are great link and info on the forum already on how to get access to the speakers . Norm
  2. I read all the speaker discussion for the Nakamichi speaker replacement that I could find. Wonderful discussion of how the replace and test speakers. Does anyone have a part number & maker for the 4 in speakers that are nonLexus? I would greaty appreciate it. I contacted Crutchfield with no luck.
  3. Heat does not come through vent below 200RPM. Of course waited the 15 warmup. The air flow does not seem to change. In a perhaps unrelated problem... the normal idle of 700- 800 RPM will occasionally (perhaps once in 1 hr of stop and go traffic) drop to 300 RPM and my 95 SC400 dies. Any ideas on this topic (topics)?
  4. Any ideas on where to buy the left front brake hose for 1990 LS400? Any special precautions? Norm
  5. I tried 12 MM to remove ball from chassis, the prying and then slipping a srewdriver under the shock's ball cup. But here I am. How do you remove the ball end of original trunk shocks? THanks Norm
  6. I had done that last night but I tried again today and the key is do auto work in the light. I had been striking the inlet housing tring to drive it out at an angle. THanks alot .. it is out now pretty easily.
  7. I have 1995 SC400 and have a bad water pump. I removed the hoses and released the rt side coil and removed the 2 bolts on the water inlet housing. BUt I am not able tp pull the water inlet housing out of engine. Any ideas on how to remove the water inlet housing?
