  1. Will be editing to add a couple of pictures shortly Dave's brief Dragon 2007 Debrief Charlotte Caravan to the Dragon The trip started with a 20 mile detour off our route for the folks in the Charlotte caravan. I thought the museum was very well done and had some of the best preserved and hottest M Coupe and E30 M3 racecars I've ever seen, along with some very historical and unique BMW vehicles and motorcycles. I'm definitely going back and hitting it up again when I have more time and doing the factory tour. A M Coupe and E30 M3 at the BMW Factory Museum Since our Charlotte group looked like we were going to arrive about 8pm, we chose to stop along the way at an Arby's for a quick bite and noticed an ABC (liqour) store next door while we were eating. Jeff found a $100 bottle of reserve tequilla that he had been searching for (comes in a special wooden box) which was mostly consumed once we arrived safely at the hotel. Friday night we started meet check in in the hotel conference room, hung out and watched some prior year Dragon videos. The folks who drove in from OH through the Dragon reported that there were ten police officers on the 11 miles as they passed through on the way to the hotel. Saturday - the Main Event Some folks got up and washed their cars, knowing there would be a bunch of pictures taken. The full group met in the hotel conference room and we started the morning with a safety review and a frank 'how can we keep from getting a ticket' with the significantly enhanced police presence on the TN part of the Dragon this year. We had a few prizes to give away thanks to Steve Ganz at L-tunedparts / Carson Toyota , Jeff (Porsche GT3) who provided an awesome framed picture he took himself of a Lemans car and Mark (ColumbusIS) who donated a set of Top Gear DVDs. We drove our 'warm up' straight to the Tapoco Lodge where we had lunch and took pictures in the parking lot. Lunch was good, but slow... "don't forget the steak fries" - a core competency of the Lodge, along with the huge club sandwiches and great iced tea. The day was starting to get very hot and topped above 100 degrees in the lot... once we got up to the top of the mountain it cooled down a full 10 degrees though. Leaving the Tapoco We went to the base of the Fontana Dam from lunch and looked at this cool man-made monument. It's a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) damn built in the 50's and part of it was used in the movie "the Fugitive" where Harrison Ford jumps out of a spillpipe into a river below. Those pipes are all over the place in the mountains in the area. The top of the dam is very interesting as well - unfortunately once we arrived there (a 15 minute drive from the bottom) we found the road to the visitors center was torn up and extremely dusty and the visitor's center was closed. So much for our nicely polished rides!. At the base of the dam, and arriving at the top to find it in ruins From the dam we had a brief stop at the Dragon motorcycle lodge and gift shop where the 'tree of shame' holds pieces of all the motorcycles that have been wrecked on the road that year. We took off on the Dragon in two groups (fast group and everyone else) but it didn't matter... as soon as we hit the TN border we started seeing cops every couple of minutes. Slow traffic and the speed limit set at 35mph kept the drive pretty dull, although it did allow for a nice windows down, Prodigy (my annual Dragon theme music) blasting session through the Mark Levinson setup in the LS430 for me. We gathered beside the lake at the end of the run and I was pretty depressed at our events of the day so far with the unpaved road / closed dam center / speed-limit traffic-ridden Dragon drive.... But the next part of our 100 mile or so loop in the mountainous area was MUCH better. Some nice long straightaways where several folks tested their speed limiters ;) and great mountain roads with scenic overlooks. It was good to let our cars and minds stretch their legs after being cooped up all morning. We had a couple of missed turns and our group broke up and rejoined a few times, but everyone made it back to the hotel safely. View from one of the Cherohala Skyway overlooks, taking a break For dinner we ordered pizza and wings and everyone brought down their beverages... we watched some of the day's video but somehow we didn't have the right cable for most of the cameras there. Five of us played a No Limit hold'em poker tournament (Larry with the G35 Coupe won) and others just hung out and talked about cars and life. This is what these meets are all about. Thanks to those folks who helped clean up as well - made it much nicer )and faster) with all the pitching in when we were done. Sunday - Another chance to Tame the Dragon Sunday morning at 8am a smaller group went to drive the Dragon again... we had a scout (me) go ahead of the group looking for police cars and set up to take photos. There were none that I saw and eventually stopped to setup for pictures. Several groups of bikes, BMW E30s and S2000's came flying past so I was hopeful our folks could get a good run in. Unfortunatley my first location was too shady so all the pictures I got were cool blurs... Their return trip was better as I picked a sunny location. All in all, a much more satisfying drive for those who went than the one on Saturday. VVT-I and 1sicklex tearing it up We stopped again at the Dragon Motorcycle Lodge and spoke briefly to the E30 and S2Ki groups. I also pulled off a couple of times on the way back to the hotel to take some pictures of just one of the streams and lakes we drive by on this trip... there are literally hundreds in this area and we don't appreciate them enough and see them only as a blur when we're driving past. We packed our cars and several stopped for some decent BBQ nearby before heading home to our respective cities. Thanks for all who came and made this another fun event, even if the main part of the drive sucked this year due to all the law enforcement attention. 2. Thanks & sorry you can't make it, it's a great road & area to drive in.
  3. Block your calendars and make plans to come if you can! Although we haven't updated the text or details on the Lexus Dragon website, you can get an idea what the meet / drive is all about here: http://www.lexusdragon.com/ You need to call the meet hotel directly to get the rate 1-828-479-6772 and mention "Lexus" group rate when making your reservation. Please do not call the MicroTel toll-free reservation line which goes to Atlanta (who have no idea about our special deal). NOTE that the rooms they blocked off sound like they all have two beds. If you want a queen room or a 'suite' (which has a sleeper sofa and a little more space but isn't as fancy as it sounds) make sure to ask but have them put it in our Lexus 'block' to get the discount. Go to Microtel Robbinsville NC 888-771-7171 for more info on rooms. We have the conference room reserved for our use Friday and Saturday nights. If enough folks are interested perhaps we can do another Poker game Friday or Saturday night. 8. The date for a multi-car meet our Lexus group has attended for the last two years hosted by the Audi / VW folks has now been established: Info from http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3012112 ---------------------------------------------------------- Links from last year's meet which had a fairly small (but still good) turnout due to cold & rain http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=241434 http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196088 2005 Pics http://www.somniplex.com/gallery/FebruaryFling2005 2006 Pics http://www.somniplex.com/gallery/FebFling2006 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Should we plan to meet up in advance like we did last year and roll in together? 9. Sunday Aquarium Update We've re-confirmed our spot on the roof of the downtown parking deck at the aquarium, and the aquarium will block it off for us with cones (which we can move when we arrive). We also learned the aquarium group rate is NOT available for a weekend 'day of' purchase. They advised us that they often sell out on weekends and to purchase tickets in advance if at all possible. There are 368 tickets as of earlier today available for the 10:50 - 12:20 arrival time (I just tested and found out it shows up as '11am to noon' when you purchase), and we're suggesting buying tickets individually for that time if you are IN for the aquarium. If you won't decide until Sunday, you'll run some risk of not getting in or having to sign up for a later time in the day. Hours on Sunday are 9-6 p.m. If you pre-purchase, you only need to print them out at the gate and go in (and this is the only way to be sure and not get sold out). Tickets are $22.75/adult and can be purchased at the link below: http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/acb/stores/...f1%2fdaily.aspx
  10. OK, folks following are several posts with a detailed update on Lexfest. If you have questions please post them here and I'll try to check in daily to respond. I apologize for the delay with the update, but there are a lot of moving parts in planning this meet and not a lot of people working on it. It's starting to all come together and I'm very excited about seeing many of you this weekend. I'm sure I am forgetting some of the items we need to include here and will continue to update over the next day... there are more details at www.lexfest.net, but this post has the most current information. Team Lexus Update Most of you already know this from other posts in this and other forums, but Lexus and Performance Engineering, Inc. (the former Team Lexus) have all but parted ways. I have been optimistic for several weeks that this issue would be worked out and we would have a car in the race. However, due to recent changes in sponsorship between Lexus and Team Lexus, the IS350 GT2 car will not be racing or showing at this event. I know this is disappointing, but for me (and hopefully everyone else) the main point of the meet is all of us getting together, seeing each other face-to-face, checking out each other's rides and having fun. The Petit Le Mans race is still ON and some of the cars in it are absolutely spectacular, we'll just have to pick SOB (some other brand) of car to pull for. More to follow on the race day in posts below. Lexus Corporate is still picking up the cost of the car corral at the Petit Le Mans (which is a very significant cost, over $11K - THANK YOU LEXUS) but we don't have sponsorship for food, drinks and tickets as I'd hoped for when this was a funded race event. I have requests out to local dealerships and other potential sponsors that may pull through in the last days to help defray some of the out of pocket, but I'm not hopeful. I'll outline in each day the known costs so there are no surprises for anyone. I am very thankful that we got the major cost of the car corral picked up - that would have been an event-killer. Judging I've been in several car shows and very seldom am I pleased with the judges. They invariably know less about Lexus than I do, don't have any idea about any of the mods on my car and don't know what to look for. For that reason, we are doing participant voting for "Best in Show" for Lexfest 2006... YOU will be the judges. We'll also recognize the second place vote winner and have an 'Iron Butt' award given for the longest drive to the meet. You can pick up a registration number for your Lexus if you wish to participate in the show, as well as your ballot when you register at the hotel. We'll bring the registration to the event if you miss the Friday check in. Voting will occur at the race before 2pm (assuming the car corral is configured as it was described - with our cars located near our tent). Gifts and Raffle items All registered Lexus owners attending the event will receive a gift bag and shirt courtsey of Lexus-Parts.com (Sewell Lexus). We have a number of nice raffle prizes this year including: - a Xenon HID kit (winner's choice of type) courtesy of Xenondepot MSRP $379.99 Genium Philips bulbs and ballasts - SIX Lexus detailing bucket and kits from Sewell Lexus worth $139 Details here - an SLI Ipod Interface courtesy of Vais Technoogy - (The former) Team Lexus has donated their remaining stock of Team Lexus race shirts and rain slickers. - We'll have some great items from Carson Toyota and Tanabe that are promised as well (TBA) Friday After you check into your room at the meet hotel, please stop by the "Maple" conference room we have reserved on the first floor. There you can get sign in, get your raffel ticket assignment and pick up your preprinted name tag, meet agenda and direction sheets to each of the meet locations from the hotel. We have the Maple conference room from 5 - 11 pm, feel free to hang out there at the hotel and meet others as they come in. Most of the group will probably head over to Andretti Speed Labs for dinner at the attached Fuddruckers, some games and/or indoor cart racing. Our local guides will prepare some alternative food recommendations and/or club locations if you'd rather go off in a smaller group and experience the ATL nightlife. I expect the groups will start heading over to Andretti's about 7pm or so and will trickle on through the evening. We will have one of our meet organizers lead anyone who wants to head over about that time, so if you want to be in a caravan head down to the meeting room or parking lot at 7pm (it's nearby and we have direction sheets, so don't worry if you miss the group or want to join later). If you want to leave messages for someone to meet you somewhere else, let me know in the registration room and I'll keep a message board until we close down the room at 11. Some pictures of Andretti's below so you know what to expect when making up your mind about Friday. It's a like a small Dave & Buster's but with an indoor cart track and racing theme with a climbing wall,, linked games, pool tables, air hockey. We'll get a 10% discount for the food at the attached Fuddruckers. For more information http://www.andrettikarting.com/ Costs: Food - Standard Fuddruckers fair $7 - $15, the Atlanta SELOC group has a standing 10% discount (ask for the SELOC discount). They do have drinks there, please plan to designated a driver or call a taxi if you get have a few too many. I'll take you back in the AM personally to pick up your car if you need to leave it there overnight. Cart Racing - Standard cost is $43 for two races and a temporary license. If we get 10 + people, we get 10% off... 16 + people 15% off.... 25+ we get 20% off. There are other packages that includes games, food etc. Parking is free Saturday The big race day! This is the part of the event where we have some missing details I'm awaiting from Road Atlanta (like the exact location of our corral, hospitalty/infield parking sticker clarifications, parking instructions, etc). We'll caravan over to the racetrack leaving promptly at 9am from the hotel (this is subject to change based on info I get back from Road Atlanta and if it is different will be posted here and announced in materials at registration). Turn-by-turn directions will be available at the registration room Friday night and we'll have several caravan leaders designated. Guest Guide for the Race: http://www.roadatlanta.com/2006-GuestGuide.pdf Map of the Road Atlanta track here and general location of the car corral: http://www.roadatlanta.com/Petit-Map-nogrid.pdf Some great pictures of the 2005 Petit Le Mans race here, credit dubspeed driven. http://www.speedsportlife.com/photopost/sh...ery.php?cat=799 Some examples of what we'll see: Our corral should have the following: Private Enclosed Hospitality Area 40 x 60 Tent with sides, tables and chairs for 200 people at a time, registration tables We'll have two TV’s with Closed Circuit Feed and they'll provide us with 200 Event Programs and 200 Event Posters and infield parking passes. What we don't have is tickets to the race included, and catering for the event. There are LOTS of food options and vendors all around, so we won't go hungry. I'm told we aren't allowed to bring our own catering in or I'd have stocked up at least for beverages. I am going to ask around to see if we can bring in indivual coolers regardless (no glass is allowed) and suggest you do so. Saturday night is on your own in small groups. Some are going to just want to sleep, others will go out to clubs and adult entertainment venues and some will go to some of Atlanta's unique eateries or fine dining establishments. Ask around during the day to pick your group. Estimated Costs: Tickets - expect $45 - 55 for the race day including pit pass access. Food - Catering folks suggested a $12 meal voucher (which is what I'm trying to get sponsored still) would cover the meal and drinks. Parking - listed as $25 with free alternatives but I'm hopeful that is covered in our hospitality suite costs. More to follow. Sunday In case you haven't heard of it, the Georgia Aquarium is the newest and largest aquarium in the world. We'll spend some time together on top of the deck downtown and take photos, then go into the Aquarium to check it out. Details: http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/index.aspx Map of the aquarium http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/media/pdf/overviewMap.pdf More random pics to set your expectations courtesy google image http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&...sa=N&tab=wi Estimated Costs: We're working on group admission but need to find out how many will attend. Standard admission is 22.75 , the group discount is $20.50 . There are many food options once inside http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/exploreTheA...afeAquaria.aspx Parking is $10 in the aquarium deck. We'll have our own section reserved on the top floor. We hope to have several cameras stationed around and in the deck as our group makes its way through downtown and up the parking deck. Should be an impressive sight and sound. Those who stay in town Sunday evening (I am) will do small groups again for dinner, etc.
  11. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=30638 The post in the meet section provides better info than the LexFest.com site.:whistles: I live 20 minutes from Road Atlanta - turn 11 is a PIA, I will be there also. T To be honest, they're both written by the same person :) Its just more flexible posting in the forum. I'll have a big update out shortly on all the forums Tsquared, are you signed up? Need to do that if you haven't to make sure you're registered for the raffle! Hope to see you and others there three days SupraMan, if you're going and want to caravan down I plan to leave Charlotte about 10am on Friday.
  12. There have been several threads in the last few months discussing this MASSIVE Lexus event and now we're ready to open registration for the Second Annual East Coast Lexus Meet. We're anticipating this will be the biggest Lexus-only event on the east coast (and possibly biggest in the US) and are anticipating 200 - 250 Lexus vehicles in attendance and double that number of people. For our inaugural east coast event last year, Lexus' factory sponsored race team (Team Lexus) graciously hosted us with an open house at their shop. This year we're going to see them in action with the spanking new IS350 GT2 racecar at the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta Raceway in Atlanta, Georgia. Please visit our meet website www.lexfest.net for more information; the snippets below are just a starter. W H E N The weekend of September 29, 30 and October 1, with the primary meet event during the race on Saturday September 30. There will also be Lexfest events planned on Friday evening and Sunday. The weather will still be warm, but should be a bit cooler for outdoor activities towards the end of summer. W H A T Meet fellow avid Lexus enthusiasts Show off your car and scope out what other folks have done with their Lexus rides Participate in the first-ever Lexus sponsored car corral at the Petit Le Mans See the exciting new IS350 GT2 racecar in action Learn about Lexus aftermarket parts from vendors Alternative daytime local tourism for guests in the Atlanta area Chances to win valuable prizes from our meet sponsors Scheduled caravans to the meet from major local metro areas. We'll form up folks who may want to drive together to the meet location MORE details on special events and surprises at the meet to come! What's still in the works by the planning committee (more details to come): - Details on group discounted admission for events - Group event and dinner at Andretti Speedlabs on Friday evening for those who would like to attend link to speedlab website - Group event and lunch at the new (worlds largest) Georgia Aquarium on Sunday, including a video shoot of our caravan in downtown Atlanta. link to aquarium website W H E R E Road Atlanta Raceway just outside of Atlanta, GA Atlanta is a location that most folks in the central-eastern US can get to (as well as other ambitious folks). The Atlanta area was selected for the second annual meet because of the ready-built core group of Lexus enthusiasts within easy driving distance of the ATL area that can make this meet a really big one. Future Lexfest meets will be in different east coast cities each year to allow for changes of scenery and allow different groups of members to attend. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The www.lexfest.net meet website is up and running and will be constantly updated with new information about the event. We still need to add a bunch of additional content to it including details on the special events planned during the meet from our sponsors / vendors, special deal and location of meet hotels, lists of the raffle prizes, etc. We ask that people that are likely to attend register now so we can begin to get a count of people coming for food and facilities planning at the car corral. We need as many people that are probable to attend to enroll by end of July. If it turns out you can't make it, just send me a PM or an email to info@lexfest.net and we'll pull you off. Click on the register button below or click here to enter your registration information. Note that you won't show up right away on the 'confirmed attendees' page because there is an approval / review process. Hotel Reservations I've set up a link at our official meet hotel so you can register online for rooms as well. Click here to be taken to the meet hotel website to reserve your room. Our block of rooms will be set aside until September 15. The meet planning team will check back on this thread regularly to answer any questions. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The planning team still needs help! If you have any: * Connections or media contacts with magazines or auto enthusiast websites that would want to cover the event * Suggestions for sponsors / vendors that may be of interest to our group * Special authority with anyone that could provide us with venues for exceptional photo locations * Can help promote this event to your local Lexus dealer / organize members in your city to attend * Suggestions for a Altlanta-area no-fee professional photographer who takes exceptional pictures and resells large prints on the web * Volunteer videographers (with their own mini-DV cameras) for the caravans and events. Media will be provided. please PM me asap!
  13. OK all we're moving forward with detailed planning for Lexfest at Petit Le Mans. Mark your calendars! More updates as we finalize events, schedules and guests :) Once we have enough detail on the secondary events we'll update the Lexfest website - thanks to CL member Hameed - and open it up for 2006 registration.
  14. Please read this post in its entirety before voting What is Lexfest? Lexfest is the premier annual East Coast Lexus enthusiast's event. We had the first one last year at the Team Lexus facility (and other nearby spots) in Baltimore, MD and it was a great success with over 175 Lexus vehicles attending and an estimated 350 people throughout the day. For those that didn't make it, here are some links to pictures from the 2005 event:CL picture thread , Rolling shots , Afterthoughts thread , Tony's awesome pics from the meet on My.IS, my.is picture thread . We have an informational registration website (that is still set up for Lexfest 2005) at www.lexfest.net that will be configured for this year’s event as we gather a few more details. Please do not try to register on the site for Lexfest 2006 yet. The Lexfest event will alternate north to south every year to give all the east-coasters a chance to attend and hopefully as it gets bigger and better each year start a luxury caravan tradition. Last year was 'north' in Baltimore, MD; this year we've selected Atlanta, GA to host the event in the 'south'. More about Lexfest 2006 We've been working with Team Lexus to plan the Lexfest 2006 event for several months and unfortunately the August date for the event we had been discussing is no longer viable because of a change in their race schedule. The backup date we have is a bit close to one of the other major auto enthusiast east coast events (and one many Lexus enthusiasts in the SE attend) called NOPI Nationals, also held in Atlanta. The Team Lexus race is two weeks after NOPI Nationals and we're concerned that some of the folks that travel to Atlanta for NOPI may not make the trip twice with the dates so close together. That brings us to the purpose of this poll... the planning team would like to gather member opinions on the date and related events for Lexfest 2006 in Atlanta. We need to choose between having the event in conjunction with Team Lexus during one of their races at the Petit Le Mans OR having Lexfest at one of the largest import car shows in the world, NOPI Nationals. We still have a number of unknowns on detailed planning for both of these options, but your thoughts will help guide which one we spend more time pursuing. Option 1) Lexfest 2006 at Petit Le Mans with Team Lexus Location: Lexus Meet would be at the BBS USA facility on the Road Atlanta property Date: Saturday, September 30 (with some events the day before and day after) Cost: Attending at the race itself will be optional, but if you want to go the ticket prices are listed at the bottom of this linked page. They are $45 in advance, $55 at the gate (both including paddock access)(click here) Informational Links: 1) Team Lexus website 2) Petit Le Mans Info page 3) Road Atlanta Website Event Description: Lexfest at the Petit Le Mans The actual ALMS Petit Le Mans race and visiting the paddock would be the centerpiece activity of the meet, but we'd set aside plenty of time for meeting with other Lexus owners, checking out their rides, special tours and presentations by Lexus-vendors, etc. BBS USA, a sponsor of Team Lexus has graciously offered use of their Road Atlanta facilities for the Lexfest event. Event Description (Race Event) Pros for Lexfest at Petit Le Mans Lexus-exclusive events at the BBS facility and other locations Get to see new race-prepped IS350 and other cool cars in race setting Team Lexus and Lexus Corp maximum participation Lexus-specific vendor participation and demonstrations Frees up Sunday for secondary events (whereas the NOPI show is a 2-day event which continues on Sunday) Cons for Lexfest at Petit Le Mans Difficult for those traveling to attend NOPI Nationals to do both events Lesser variety of 'things to do' during the day compared to NOPI (Optional) Cost to enter race / paddock to view the race Car judging unknown at this point (may / may not do it this year) Lodging availability ==================================================================== Option 2) Lexfest 2006 at NOPI Nationals Location: Atlanta International Speedway Date: Saturday September 16 and Sunday September 17 Cost: To enter (or bring) your car into the NOPI event, the cost is $70 for early bird, $80 later. The fee includes entrance fees for you and a passenger. Spectator passes are $40 for the weekend. For more details and costs for entry of other contests (such as burnout, dyno, audio, etc) (click here for full registration and ticket details) Informational Links: 1) NOPI Nationals 2006 website 2) NOPI map of the speedway, our Lexus spot is typically "Black C" right next to (under) the Drift area on the main entrance road 3) NOPI 2005 Gallery will give you an idea of the WIDE variety of vehicles, people (some NWS) and events 4) Atlanta Motor Speedway Website Event Description: Lexfest at NOPI Nationals 2006 on Sept 16 - 17 Every year we have a large (40 – 50 cars) Lexus turnout for the NOPI Nationals car show comprised mainly of ClubLexus, my.is and SELOC members. We have a good relationship with the NOPI owners (who are Lexus owners as well) and they get us great positioning on the main entry road. There is ample time for hanging out and in past years we've grilled out as a group. NOPI is a pretty wild car show with every kind of import (and many non-imports) you could imagine. There are plenty of cool rides from NSXs to show cars with a sliding scale down to the rust and primer Civic with a giant wing. Other than our group, there is only a moderate higher-end car presence with the majority of the cars being sport compacts. There are hourly events going on from drift demos by famous drivers, burnout contests, dyno and sound contests. Scantily clad import models stroll around and there are booty shake competitions and jello wrestling contests. http://www.nopinationals.com/2006/default.cfm]For further details about the NOPI Event schedule, click here Pros for Lexfest at NOPI One of the worlds largest Import Showcases Variety of auto models represented at this massive car show, more to see More activities running all day long Less planning required, event already set up More media coverage Formal Judging, several contests available Large national vendor participation (TRD, audio vendors such as JL, Eclipse, etc) Cons for Lexfest at NOPI Unknown Lexus Corporate / Team Lexus participation (likely minimal) Not a Lexus-only event Higher and required cost for registration of our cars into show for entry Comparatively not as family-friendly event / more reflective of 'import scene' Car show timing (all day Saturday and Sunday starting early) reduces capability for secondary events Hotels also at premium during NOPI, traffic issues at track are a royal pain getting in & out Reduced participation by Lexus vendors due to cost to set up at NOPI What we need from you Considering the options and details above (and any others you want to research and comment on here) please vote on the options listed in this poll. If you can make both dates for Lexfest at Petit Le Mans and NOPI Nationals that’s the optimal solution, but we realize that’s a lot of time away from family and home for those that don’t live near Atlanta. Thank you for taking the time to read about the options the planning team is pursuing, please vote in the poll above and comment or ask questions! We will have a number of secondary activities outside the 'main events' outlined above that we'll roll out at a later time.

I'd like to group up and roll in together, organized by model and car color if we can, so would like to gather at an easy-to-find place shortly beforehand. A local grocery store has a 'second' parking lot up above their regular lot that would be a good point to meet up, plus if anyone wants to bring in some drinks, etc they could pick them up there. The store I'm recommending is at most 1/2 mile from the place where the meet is, and is on the same road (Mallard Creek). Let's plan to meet at the upper lot of the grocery store at 9:30, and we will promptly roll out of the store lot at 9:45 so we get good parking. If you don't show at the store, we'll simply meet up with you when you show at the meet (this means we will not wait for you if you're late, so come straight to the meet). Will try to reserve some spots for stragglers with the group, but can't promise anything. The address of the pre-meet-up spot: Harris Teeter Grocery Store Mallard Creek 2201 WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269 It's right on the corner of WT Harris and Mallard Creek Rd. (not Mallard Creek Church Rd, that's a different road and different grocery store), across from the University YMCA.
