I've just found out that the noise only comes on when the A/C is on. If the A/C is not on, there's no noise when switching gear. But when the A/C is on, there's noise when switching gear. Any clue as to what this is?

Yes, I've checked the level and the color. The level is good, and the color is good too. I did get my transmission fluid changed at the end of February, right before I drove my car from Florida to Toronto. But I didn't get the filter changed. Could that be the problem? Could it simply be that the filter is bad and is clogged up? Thanks for any inputs!

Hi everyone, My car has recently just started making noises when I accelerate. My car is a 92 SC300 (automatic transmission), with about 175K miles on it. As I accelerate, the noise appear right before it changes gear. I noticed that the noise is at its loudest around 2250-2500rpm, and then when it switches gear, the noise goes away, but comes back as the rpm goes up and right before it switches gear again. This just started happening about 4 days ago. Does anyone have any idea what's going on with my car? I have a bad feeling that I have to have the transmission replaced..... :cries: If so, does anyone knows how much it'll cost? I hope it's something else, something simpler... I've recently moved to Toronto, Canada, which makes it even harder to get parts for this car... Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

Hi there, I have a 1992 SC300 and I've recently moved to Toronto, which requires cars to have daytime running lights installed. Mine doesn't have it, so I was wondering if anyone out there has experience with installing daytime running lights. I heard that you can just get a kit and do a relay, is that right? Are there anything in particular that I need to pay attention to when doing the installation? Any recommended kits? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a roof rack that will fit on my 92 SC300? I've found some "universal" ones in local stores, but the salesperson said it won't fit on my car... Any inputs will be greatly appreciated

Hello! I have a 1992 SC300 that has a leaking power steering pressure hose. It's spraying the fluid on the rubber part, not the joint, so I'm guessing I have to replace the whole hose... If I go to an autoshop, the guy is charging me $499 just for the hose! :o But I heard that I can get the hose made and it'll be much much cheaper. Does anybody know anyone who can make that for me here in Florida? More specifically either in the Melbourne area or the Daytona Beach area? Any info will be very much appreciated

I'm having the same problem. I just have the spark plugs replaced, and the distributor replaced. so what do I need to do to solve the problem? I haven't checked, but if there's water/liquid in the spark plug holes, do I just wipe it dry and it'll solve the problem? please help~~ >_<

I have the same problem with my 1992 sc300, just that mine is on the passenger's side, and it makes it hard to reach over and move the mirror back to where it's supposed to be. :( I want to fix it myself, but are there any special tools that are needed? and would it be a hard job? please let me know ASAP.
