  1. Hi Lexusfreak.....great to have you back in the club! If the car drives fine and you cannot find any issues then I would jump at it but would be worth asking the dealer to change the trans fluid and filter as a goodwill gesture if agreed sticker price paid, at least then you will have peace-of-mind on that front. Let us know how it goes
  2. I would definitely start by removing and cleaning out the throttle body area as maybe the stepper motor is struggling with excess carbon build up
  3. The dealership local to you should have some knowledge of trim specs, worth asking them to see if they know
  4. Watches, especially with mechanical movements are such things of beauty! I only have mechanical watches as I find quartz watches fail on me more than mechanical. Would like to see the device you have created to wind the watches, have seen many mechanical watch winders but not many that change rotation as most just spin in one direction which is not good for the movement..
  5. Get ready for the amazing, all-electric Lexus vehicles coming your way.
  6. I would imagine there is either a drain on the battery by having a dead short (e.g. oxygen sensor touching the exhaust, melted through and shorted wiring. The issue with the battery and even possibly the alternator is something which you need to resolve before going any further with sensors and actuator replacement as this may be causing these issues. If in doubt it would be worth getting the car taken to a local garage to diagnose the vehicle charging fault and go from there
  7. That's a very sensible option, although my Omega has luminous hands and these don't illuminate anymore as they used to charge nicely under fluorescent light but we don't have any of these lamps anymore 😞 🙂
  8. Just the job in the hot summer months, enjoy! 🙂
  9. Certainly an idea to change all of the fluids and filters to ensure reliability. Also, driving style is always best to drive gently to avoid overheating and also to conserve fuel especially if running the air conditioning constantly
  10. It at almost $9.96 for a gallon at the moment 😞
  11. Lucky you get loads of sun where you live, not so good here 🙂
  12. Unfortunately, you cannot but you can have list both your Lexus in your 'signature' which appears at the bottom of your posts
  13. Same here, have a small collection of driving style chronograph watches. What ones do you have in your collection?
  14. It looks like an additional cover for the trunk area at the end of the upper cover
  15. Nice boots Mike, look good quality! Could do with a pair like that myself
  16. The EML could be the O2 sensor so worth pulling any codes to find the exact cause Quality is usually defined by cost and this is the best way of acquiring a quality item. I would prefer OE parts but usually find the OE number and compare to an aftermarket part and find some from Bosch, NGK, etc.
  17. I have fitted 'quality' aftermarket O2 sensors in the past and never had an issue. Ensure that there is no air leaks into the exhaust system as this can trigger the O2 sensor as running outside of operating range (e.g. lean reading)
  18. I would definitely say that if you are leaking fluid into the alternator then there is the first place I would go to sort the issue. You could do a great deal of damage if the alternator goes high volts which can pop ECUs and cook the battery. Let us know how you get on with resolving this issue
  19. It is definitely a badge society that we live in......Audi, Apple, Tesla and other big names which may or may not be a good product but its the one to be seen with. I think Lexus is slowly getting into that subconscious but will always be niche enough not to attract the mass market
