Should I buy a Lexus SC?
I need to purchase my daughter a car for college and she really likes the looks of the Lexus SC models. Since I've never owned a Lexus, I don't have any insight into the car's "pros or cons." Of course with all the college related expenses I don't want to spend $$$ on the newer models.
This is my question, when I'm looking for a used 93-97 model SC 300 or SC400, what should I be looking for? Are there "common" major expense problems with the early model Lexus SC's? I currently own a Mercedes S class which has had $1500 wiring harness, $4000 AC evaporator, $3000 transmission, $1000 door closer assist, $600 radio amp . You get the picture - I don't want to spend her college money on her car!
