  1. Hi Y,all, Just planing ahead but about how much millage can I expect from my ofiginal system and is there a better sounding, performing after market system out there? I only have 34k on the odo and the exhaust is fine right now. I would not want loud pipe but a nice low rumble would be fine. Tx Stephen
  2. I tried replicating the problem with a leaf blower. Bingo! That which was maddeningly elusive was suddenly flapping in my face. A piece of Styrofoam jammed between the plastic panels then duct taped and all was right as rain until I got to Lexus for a real fix. I did post this a while ago thinking I could not be the only one with this issue. Good luck. Stephen
  3. Hi Y'all, It's been driving me nuts. I've been hearing this high speed noise like a kid with a baloon in the spokes of his bike. Looked under the car a few times and found nothing. I got the bright idea of turning the leaf blower on the undercarriage from the front of car and walla a small split in the plastic cowling under the motor and trans opened a wee bit. Stuck some foam and held it with duct tape till I get back to the dealer, They probably would have charged me for 6 or 7 hours of diagnostics and not found n e thing n e way Regards Stephen
  4. Has n e one installed a brake control for electric trailer brakes? I put the flat four wiring into the trailer prep supplied connector and purchased a 4 to 7 flat, converter and a Tekonsha P3 brake control (both are not yet installed). Was wondering if I could pick up power and brake hot for the controller inside the cab? Any help greatly appreciated. Lexus is no help.

  6. Does anyone tow a travel trailer with a RX350 with trailer prep pkg? I am looking at under 3500Lbs. but want to go long distances. Am I courting disaster? Any knowledgable input greatly appreciated and more than I am getting from the dealer LOL. Tx Stephen
  7. Hi Y'all We did it. The bride and I retired before they shoveled sand in our faces LOL. Thinking of a road trip with my RX and wondering what she will pull incase the bride allows me to rent a trailer so I can visit some National Parks and get mugged LOL. My rig does not have a hitch but don't they all have trailer tow packages? How can I check? I bought it from a lease company with 13K and now have 20.5K and am loving it. Thanks for any worthwhile input. Stephen
  8. Finally spoke to weather teck themselves instead of 4 wheel auto parts. Got the correct item number from them and my rear mats and i will live happily ever after with the perfect fit they advertise. Thanks for the input all. Stephen
  9. Ok, so I get a set of weather tech (perfect fit) mats for my 09, RX 350. The front fits and the rear don't. I complain and they send another set W85 this time. They fit worse. Is it just me? Weather Tech says they are the correct item but they overlap the rear wells over an inch and stick up above the floor edge in fron of the rear seat. All I need is for my 89 yr. old mom to catch her heel on them and take a header. Anyone else have issues with the "perfect fit"?
