  1. just checked for codes, getting code 12, so it is either the crank or camshaft position sensor. does anyone know where the camshafter sensors are??
  2. Hey there I have just changed my sparkplugs, wires, distributor caps, rotors, valve cover gaskets and injectors on my 91 celsior. The car was running before the maintainance was done. When I try to start my car up and it just cranks and doesnt fire. Tested both banks and neither have spark. I am not sure how to test for fuel but every time i crank it and pull a different spark plug out it smells of gasoline so i assume there is fuel. I have just cleaned my crank position sensor and it reads to the correct resistance. I cant imagine both ignition coils going at the same time because it had run before the changes. I have no idea where to go from here, any ideas? thanks
  3. found this pretty interesting. http://lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?p=117318
  4. I am looking for a 1uz-fe engine cover if anyone has one. Thanks
  5. Thats for the engine fan with a clutch, thanks for the reply tho! My fan is run off of some sort of ATF fluid and is not connected to the engine by a clutch. a diagram is located in this thread : http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69856 but I wouldnt know where to start on a delete of the system.....
  6. Hey there I am trying to swap my Hydraulic fan with 2 16" electric fans on a 91 Celsior. I see a bunch of tubing coming from my stock fan and it also has a fan fluid reservoir, I was thinking of deleting the fan + reservoir and connecting the existing tubes with a heater core hose coupler, but if I wanted to delete the whole fan system entirely where would I start? would it even work? Thanks
  7. thanks for the quick reply guys. Im letting my battery charge right now, ill try it out again when the battery is fully charged.
  8. I have a 1991 celsior and i have just replaced the alternator, battery and powersteering pump, this has been happening even before I replaced them but when I try to turn the key the electricity dies in the car and all I hear is one click. After when I try it again the power is still dead in the car and I have to remove the terminals and put them back on to get power. I have a brand new positive terminal, but the negative is looking brownish colour. suggestions??!?
  9. they are nice rims but you could fit wider XD search megan coilovers for ur car and you should use those to lower ur car (unless u have airbags), get new struts while ur at it. try this website, to see what fitment would be good. http://www.rimtuck.com/search/thumbnails&make=Lexus&model=LS&
  10. ahhahah thanks for the help guys, switched out the hoses, washers, o-rings and overhauled the pump a week ago no more leak XD but destroyed the alternator while it was leaking and yea the alternator swapped right in!!!! no more nead for battery charger and portable jumper. celsior runs great now
  11. hey there im new on this forum, but I have been scoping it out for a while XD anyways I have the usual powersteering leak that destroyed my alternator. and I have found an ls400 at a junkyard. I was wondering if the alternator from a 1991 ls400 would fit directly onto a 1991 celsior. thanks
