  1. Yes. I have nav as well. I do not notice any other lights flickering. ← I actually had the dealer look at it and replace the A/C panel (this is what Lexus suggested) and the problem got worse. I had them put my original panel back in and that is where things stand right now. The tech and I drove a few more GX's and all the ones with NAV seem to do this to some degree (mine is about middle of the road as far as how much/often it flickers) but the GX's without NAV are rock solid with no flickering. My feeling is that the electrical design of the systems with NAV are supplying a marginal voltage to the A/C panel indicators in the night mode and the LED's flicker - the incandescent illumination used everywhere else probably sees the same variation in voltage but doesn't react like an on/off LED will. Just my opinion...
  2. I have been trying for months to find out if anyone else has this problem. Mine does the exact same thing - solar sensor is active (night mode) and the vehicle has to be moving - they don't flicker if you are sitting still. I also have Nav - do you?
  3. Yes - a real pain. But, I can't seem to enter two numbers for the same person. No matter what I do, it keeps replacing the number (even if I select add and not replace.) Any idea how to add two numbers for the same person to a phone book on the Lexus systeM??? Thanks. ← Only way I was able to make it work was to come up with a separate phonebook category in my phone (razr v3) and have unique names for each number - like John (Home), John (Mobile), etc. What a pain!!
  4. I've had this problem occasionally with my driver's side mirror on my 05 - sometimes driving the mirror around to its limits will allow it to work correctly again - be warned though that several other people have reported the same problem and one had his mirror replaced and the problem still came back - it seems to me that the mirror is functioning correctly and the computer module that controls it is the problem - just an educated guess though - hate to tear the door apart and have the same problem because of a poor diagnosis. Overall I've had several small issues with my new GX (first Lexus) and am surprisingly dissappointed with the alleged "Lexus" reputation...
  5. I agree with you - the system in the GX is very aggressive and really not very elegant in my opinion - the auto climate control in my old ford explorer worked flawlessly and actually puts the GX's to shame.
  6. I think what you are describing is normal - my 05 GX does a similar thing - depending on how fast you are moving and how much you are zoomed into the map the street names tend to "flicker" as the screen updates your position - nothing to worry about.
  7. No offense meant - but there is no way that was an 05 you drove - Lexus just started production in Tahara of the 2005 GX on 11/02/04 - I have had an order in for a month and just spoke with my dealer yesterday. All of the 05's have the vvti motor and gen 4 nav along with some other changes.
  8. Which dealer emailed you? The reason I asked is I'm from suburban Chicago as well and have a deposit in for an 05. They are expecting it end of Nov/early Dec. ?? ← Woodfield. Where is your deposit? ← McGrath Westmont - she seems to have had real accurate info all along
