Auto leveling only works at speeds between 0 - (and I think) 35 MPH. So, no it really doesn't matter all that much. If you have an auto leveling system you'll still blind people on steep hills. The HID kits that I have installed on non-oem equipped cars work great. Yes - I occasionally got "high beamed" but I just ignored it. The problem (if you want to call it a "problem") that I have now on my '05 RX is that I had the dealer raise the level of the beams b/c they were just too low and not effective - and now I get high beamed once in a while. But again, I just ignore it. In my book, the benefits of HID are worth every cent! FWIW

I did an HID conversion on my 2000 RX 300 (and my friend's '99 Volvo S70) using Phillips ballasts and Osram capsules. No - that won't do you any good. Lamps burning at 6000K are a lot harder to see the road than lamps at 4100 - 4800. You eye balls just don't work that way.Besides - you'll *BLEEP* off every driver that you drive past or drive up on! Possibly get the attention of the police too!

I did a conversion kit on my '00 RX several years ago (that car is now gone) and I really loved them! No, I didn't do a full conversion with tilting lamp housings and all, but they worked very well! In fact I sold the kit to a guy here at LOC. He mounted them in an ES I think. He loves them!I had purchased the kit from a company that is no longer in biz. I was a "real deal" kit with Philips ballasts and Osram 4100k capsules. Since it is now illegal to even sell these kits in the US, and illegal to use them on street vehicles for a long time now, you will probably have a tough time finding a good kit. But snoop around...they're probably out there some place! Just watch out for the Asian crap I've seen ebay. Just plain junk! Good luck!

They're the best thing to come along in a long time!!! I won't drive another car without them!! Yeah - they seem to come from the factory aimed a little too low. All I did was go back to the dealer and told them (insisted even!) that they raise the aim. It doesn't take long at all. If you look in your manual there is a page showing / describing this adjustment. Prior to the re-adjustment, they were pretty anoying! You could easily "out run" them forcing you to slow down. Kinda like driving off a cliff! Once re-adjusted they're fantastic!

Yes. Get the 90915-YZZD1 filter. It will say Toyota not Lexus.

Get the 90915-YZZD1 filters for your RX-330. They are labelled Toyota. Should be around $4.00 ea on-line. Just don't over-torque the drain plug and it should last a long, long time.

I don't want to play too much "inside baseball" with the filter choices I make - but I know that with frequent changes (3-5k) using Toyota LABELED filters is going to be just fine. On the last oil change at my dealer, they replaced the filter with a Toyota 90915-YZZD1 filter. I know - 'cause I changed the oil 4k miles later and saw it!! I was a little surprised that it wasn't even a Lexus labelled filter (should've been a Ft. Knox labelled filter considering what I paid!!). When looking to purchase oil filters, I called them and asked specifically if they had, or could get the Japanese made filters. They said the only Japanese filters that they ever see are the ones that come on brand new cars!!! They never receive anything other than Toyota labelled filters when they place a parts order. I just suggest sticking with the OEM filters and change the oil regularly. They really couldn't fight you on a service issue if the filter is a cross ref'd Toyota part number made for that same engine. That's just what I think FWIW

Good luck trying to find one!!! Even the Lexus dealers don't have them. For my RX-330 I buy Toyota filter part number 90915-YZZD1. This is used in all Toy/Lex cars with the same engine. Cost about $4 / filter on-line.Check around for a Toyota cross reference part number for the filter on your RX-300. They are OEM Toyota filters and will work very well!

That's what I do. Just fold it down and return to normal after the wash. No biggy. Probably wouldn't get snapped off in the wash - but just play it safe.

I really don't like this grill as much as the Harrier!! The Harrier would look much better on my Black RX-330!! Maybe they would offer the same pricing (or discount percentage) on the Harrier grill if you ask. The CL group buy price is $299.00 shipping included I believe.
