  1. Cont... status. I have now put about 90 miles on it and it does seem to be getting slightly better. It will at least idle about 20% of the time if I let the throttle come done slowly while in gear. Hope this helps. Let me know if you find anything.

  2. Hi,

I posted the same problem as you. I have an ES300 2002 with 160k. I had new keys made yesterday by a locksmith. He disconnected my ECM to reflash it as he had to create a new master since I only had the valet key. Ever since this has been done my car will not idle either. I contacted a friend at the Toyota dealer and he told me I need to drive the car and the ECM needs to re...

  3. So the more i read apparently it looks like there is not a IACV valve on the 2002 and 2003 models. Guess im back to square one. I cleaned the throttle body and that didnt seem to do anything. Still dies after warming up. Thanks,
  4. Can someone please show me where the IACV is located? I cant find much information on the 02 es300. They have plenty of RX stuff for that year and any other year es300. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
  5. I think your right. Im going to look into that IACV. Seems suspect to me. Thanks,
  6. I have a 2002 ES300 with high mileage. Anyhow, My wife got stranded with the car recently(wouldnt start). I had it towed to a friend of mines service shop. Turns out the key was pretty much snapped in half. I had a new one cut at the dealership. Once the new key was cut the car started right up. So now the car would run but it wouldnt keep an idle. The guy at the service center recommended i bring it to the dealer because it wasnt pulling any codes etc. I picked the car up and drove it home with two feet thinking i would just need to reset the computer or maybe just drive it period. So i reset it, drove it around for awhile and no luck..... after being frustrated i floored the car from about 0-60 and out of nowhere it decided to work, run and idle just fine. This lasted about a month..... not one time did i have a problem until........ i was driving around in my subdivision with my son and he asked that i swerve back and forth(i know) so of course i did...going about 15mph and whatever i did rattled something loose and here i am again. back to square one. WONT IDLE. Runs for a few then dies pretty quick. Seems to run longer on cold starts.... outcome the same eventually. So now im stumped. I was thinking fuel filter or Idle control valve. Would rather not waste my time if someone has an answer for me. Thanks
