I have a 2003 GS300 with basic stereo (not Levinson) with 6-disc changer . My rear speakers and subwoofer stopped working, but the front speakers work fine. The Lexus dealer diagnosed the problem as a dead amplifier and wants $500+ to replace it. (Part number 86280-30372) After reading a few posts on this site, I'm considering replacing it myself. It seems the amp is located behind the glovebox and that I could buy a used replacement amp on eBay for $150-$200. Can anyone provide any tips for replacing the amp or recommend another source for a replacement? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
