  1. Hi, Intresting how much trouble I had with my tires, car says 30lbs, and that is what I did, and I got problems all the time. The spare had 30 too, and I finally had to make the spare 34 to stop it from triggering the sensor. I put 32 in the main tires and so far no sensor problems. The reset button is easy to find and use just by the drivers chin. I was also supprised by much cheaper cars that show the tire and pressure issue, on a GM, and not Toyota.
  2. Did I read somewhere there is no 2012 but rather they are calling it a 2013?
  3. I has an 08 Nissan and Bose system, and the VR worked quite well, compared to my 2008 Camry, now my ES350 2011 is as bad as it was in 08, so not much improvement, with all the complaints and so on about the nav system, and VR, you would think they would try someone else for this Very, Very expensive equipment. $3800.00 in Canada extra. I can but 38 TomToms for that and they also warn about red lite cameras. Over all I like my ES350, but it's interesting about the competition offering so many new hitec gadgets, like a tire pressure gauge that actually shows pressure and what wheel?? Merry Christmas to all.
  4. Just a follow up, I did find a reference to a shifter light overhead in the light pages of the manual. Thanks for your correct answer, that was bugging me trying to figure out. But I still don't see what good it is? I have the Nav system, and it quite bright.
  5. I do not believe it has anything to do with HomeLink, that is on another row?
  6. Thanks for the fast answers, I do not believe that blue light will do anything to light up the shifter, it's so weak, it's barely viable, if it is for sure well then it needs help. The other areas as mentioned to help too. Funny the items my MB had this car does not, better illumination is one of them, 110V jack, homelink was lit up too. But I believe over all the Lexus is better than a same priced MB.
  7. Hi I have a ES350 2011, Truffle Mica and I love it. There is a weak small blue led (at night) (see attached) it's to weak to be of any use, and must indicate something is on or something. Can't find it in the book anywhere or on line? Any one know what it's for? This is a stock photo not the actual one but I just indicated where this LED is. Thanks a lot, great club here and I enjoy all the reading.
  8. Hi, I am new here as I just bought a 2011 ES350 Truffle Mica, love the colour. I am in Canada and the reading is 8.2l per 100KM 34.4 mpg imperial gallon 160 fluid ounce. The US gallon reading would be 28.7mpg US. (Smaller gallon 128) Now for a car with a few hundred miles/KM that is fantastic I think. In Canada it's rated 39MPG Imperial gal. I have a question though. I have two readings Liter per 100KM and Tank average. I filled up and took a couple road trips a couple hundred KM each. The tank aver age shows 8.2 and the average about 10.5, should these read the same? If I filled up and reset the readings on the Average reading? I believe the Tank average is what it says, and the other reading is "RIGHT NOW" but it does not change much? Thanks for taking the time to read, and respond. Wayne
  9. My two cents worth, the batteries can rundown quickly, enough to even look OK, but below the required voltage to start, the alarm would use a fair amount of juice and may have run down a weakened or aged battery. If it's the original battery it 4-5 years old now, and that's about it for batteries now a days. Not sure if that helps, but worth charging up the battery first.
  10. Picked up a new ES350 yesterday and the salesman stated the back of the seats are ventilated too, I could not feel any difference when they were on or off?
  11. Just something I noticed, if you have put a few KM on it and idled it a bit the gas consumption while the engine is running causes the computer to miss read. Yesterday, I was idling the car while the salesman showed me a bunch of stuff, my computer showed 24l/100km way off track, but may car has just 53km on it, that's why it showed that way. Just thought I would throw that in to the mix.
  12. Hi, I am new here and picked up an ES350 yesterday, I have trouble understanding my voice. I had a 2008 Camry a while back and the Bluetooth just sucked at recognizing my voice> I complained but to no avail. I could not believe how bad it still is and the other commands like temp up and so on.. forget it. Only works at best 50% of the time. I am really supprised that they have made no changes to a lousy system. I had a Nissan and the voice rec. software was stellar. OH well I like Toyota products better.
