I've owned more white cars that any other color. I'm trying to reduce that habit, currently own only 1 of 3 in white.

The early water-cooled Porsches with litronic lights were a common and easy target for thieves in the US. Fortunately my Boxster S never because a victim, it was always locked in garage at night.

Agreed, knowing service history is good info. But these cars are known for above average reliability, refer to Consumers Reports reliability charts/tables to see.

Not experiencing any significant oil usage on my 2007 IS350 between oil changes, therefore never added a quart.

Awesome!! Most Import manufacturers will try their best to help out a loyal customer especially when they're polite!. Yes I've had success with Porsche a couple of times, zero success with Mercedes. I haven't had the need to ask for post-warranty assistance from Lexus yet. I did pay to have a brake light switch replaced on my IS350 that was just out of warranty, no offer was made to assist. Mercedes is the worse in this area, so loyalty doesn't pay for owners. No wonder local dealerships are losing service business to the better independents, I've taken my Mercedes service business elsewhere. But I continue to use Lexus service department, always with good results.

Wow, that's cool in Iowa. But what's more amazing is that those 4 old print newspapers are still in business. Check back in a couple decades to see how many are still in business.

What do you guys and gals (based on your experiences) recommend for a summer tire for IS350? My T1R's will be worn out next spring so I'm thinking of Hankook Ventus V12 since T1R is phasing out. Any other recommendations?...

btw - Thanks reyoasian for your input, it was helpful. I never drove the Tanabe Medallion setup so I was glad to get feedback from an actual owner. I was fortunate my Lexus dealer let me drive a used F-Sport exhaust-equipped IS350 for as long as I wanted unaccompanied.

Obviously a pretty big crash. Probably best to keep looking.

Good news, glad to hear Lexus helped out. Must be a rare but known defect.
