  1. I took my car to Autozone store to read the errors for check engine light. They read it and told me that my coil on cylinder 1 is bad and need to replace. I bought it from Autozone for $70 with life time warranty if this one goes bad and had them reset the check engine. I have driven the car 50 miles the check engine light has gone but engine still runs rough and grabes/ha sitters to shift to overdrive/ higher gear while driving. Can some one tell me how to fix this condition?

IIs this related due to deity and clogged screen on OCV on Bank 1 or Bank 2?  I need guidance and help of  a pro tech who may post a link to fix this problem with steps by step instructions to make this repair.

I am experiencing same multi misfire codes with my 2000 RX300. replaced O2 sensor on both Bank 1 and Bank 2 and all six coils packs and new six NGK plugs. My engine is running with higher RPM than normal; at 50 mph is 3400 RPM and and 40 mph is 2500 RPM. I took for test drive and check engine light came on within two miles drive. Checked the error codes and now have Misfire on cylinder one with code P301 and P0171. I have not inspected the OCV and need help/instruction in checking it. Can you post some picture of it and instructions so I may remove and examine if it is bad and need to order new one?

What is part number and if can be purchased on line with your recomendations? What is the web site to purchase it?  Any guidance from sdyoung or any pro tech?

  3. What is difference between Sensor at Bank 1 and at Bank2? Are'nt they same part at different locations?

Bank 1 at rear just under firewall and Bank 2 at front behind center of radiator on exhaust pipe. Do they have to be Denso part or any generic part will work? I removed one from Bank 1 which has marking

    "Toyota 89467

    ~ 48011

    Denso 0200"

I replaced it with a generic one from eBay

item #221826329058, ending on Aug-13-15 01:50:30 PDT - Air Fuel Ratio Oxygen Sensor For Toyota Camry RAV4 Lexus RX300 ES300 8946748011

but have not been able to clear error codes which come back after driving about 15 miles and the check engine light keeps flashing.

  5. Good tips., I replaced the front one without any difficulty in about ten minutes but the three in back was some ting. Poor design by the Lexus engineers. I guess, they do not have to work themselves and expect all consumers like do-it-yourself type (us folks) to use dealership for all service needs. I removed PVC and its hose as well as cruise control bracket assembly. I used two three inched extension for the driverside and center one. My small hands worked in tight space very well. the one on passenger side was tight to pull as well to insert back in hole. too close to fire wall. I managed to use one three inch extension with a universal and was able to install all three in one and half hour. I used Bosch Platinum 2 Part number #4301 spark plugs instead of the one recommended above but continued misfire after 500 miles. Then I replaced NGK iridium plugs as recommended. I have driven for over 2000 miles and no more misfire.
