  1. there are car brokers out there that deal with dealers and pick up the car for you and you pay only 500 to 800 over dealer price....look online in your area and type in car broker...
  2. You are absolutely right, old folgies here and young one on the other site. Love both sites however, and yes I will never buy another Ford, or Domestic....
  3. Man what happened to yu on the Ford forum? I am there but feel like I am dealing with a lot of the union crowd, stuck on a dead end product, nice truck, but bad quality for reliability... There are definetly some nice guys that know there stuff, but boy If you bash the quality you are in for trouble....
  4. Oh man, what am I doing up this early for...You woke me up.....shame shame on you :chairshot:
  5. Ok, good morning Sacramento, I will call my son and ask him to join the ranks.....
  6. Man, she sounds like my yungest daughter, always looking for mr. muscle, bad dude, and she is now a single mom....Watch out for those girls, they really dont have a clue, Find that girl that is not in the in crowd hiding behind the books, but is nice looking....She will be your real find, a diamond in the rough...Everyone is right, college will be a whole new arena, people that have real goals, and real places to go, no time for the junior high and high school games. Have a great time on your trip, take some pictures, and in 20 years look at them and smile, while you escort the right woman on your arm through life. It is truely hard being mister nice, I too can relate, but you will be rewarded, trust us, it will happen.

  8. Yes it was $41500 with Tax, license, etc.... He bought thru a broker Picture in my aviator..
  9. Sorry for your failure, Yes it shouldnt have happened if the car was maintaned, I felt the same way with my transmission failure at 101k miles.... Good luck
  10. Yes it has nav and the rear sunroof....
  11. I hope you get an AC guy on this, but did you change the dryer and have the system completely evacuated? Maybe just a complete evac and reload of oil and R134 is necessary...
  12. I agree with the shops, convert, find leaks, change the dryer, and fill with R-134.... Should work fine... I did two cars myself and they both worked...
  13. Yes,unless there is a crack that penetrates into the sublayer pretty much can do nothing, that is what my glass company said as well... Actually went to the glass place (Diamond Glass/alos called Settles and also called Triumph Auto Glass) this AM and they have some resin that they put on and then covered with a small square piece of plastic and put it under some sort of UV light of about ten minutes then peeled it off - scraped off the residue and polished it. It is much better - not perfect. They actually didn't charge me at all. The guy told me to try it out and if it was good enough for me then great or else he would put a new LEXUS windshield in for me. He did tell me that his friend has a IS 350 and has had to replace the windshield 3 x. Apparently there is not much of a curve on the windshield and it tends to catch stone chips. He also mentioned using RainX on the windshield to offset some of the chipping as it is basically a wax. So will have to see. I know the second I replace it - driving 600 miles a week it's just going to happen again!..... Yea the resin doesnt have a great deal to attach it self, where as if the pit goes to the sub layer the resin can grab between layers...
  14. When my battery failed as others have said the clock would loose time, however everything else worked fine... Good luck with the battery hopefully being your solution... Costco sells a replacement that will be cheap and last a long time...
  15. On the RX the door actuators die, cost $249 for the part.... Good luck
  16. Yes,unless there is a crack that penetrates into the sublayer pretty much can do nothing, that is what my glass company said as well...
  17. Oh boy, I am not reading this morning. thanks for the info, Have a great day...
  18. Hey, it was the 4.2 liter six cylinder jag, double overhead cam, with stromberg carburators....Man was that car a dream at 140mph though....never driven anything that handled speed that well, except dad's old 66 corvette, oh those were the days...
  19. Hey RX, hope you are well, brake noise? What do the tsb say? You know our old RX300 were pretty quiet so what gives with the RX330.....
  20. Maybe the temperature sensor is faulty, the one that does not allow the transmission to shift into overdrive until warm....Only other thing is to unhook the battery for 30 minutes and reconnect and see if the ECU will relearn....other than that I agree with RX that it may be a tranny time....sorry my friend good luck... Another thought, unhook the electrical connector to the transmission and reconnect, maybe the contacts are corroded....
  21. Oh man, not the nav again, Hey buy a Garmin and solve it all, cost $249.....
  22. welcome, it is a great site with wonderful input....
  23. So, West, is this a major problem on the engine, will it carbon up faster, and how does it effect emissions? I have always used premium, however once in awhile have used middle grade or reqular...Does pushing more fuel in the cylinder cause any side affects on the Catylitic converters? just curious...
  24. great site thank you for your input, I learn something every day, It will help me on a Ford windstar....
