  1. Also, if you get some satisfaction from the dealer, and 11.1 wasn't loaded, be sure to get version 12.1 which is available now. Updates come out around October each year, about 4 months after you bought 11.1.
  2. When I was in high school, we'd go to the gas station, get $1.00 of regular and be good for the night.
  3. It's at your right knee, but under the bottom of the dash. If you get down on one knee and look up under there you'll see it next to the steering column. It can be hard to locate it the first time.
  4. It's too bad a fix can't be found. I owned two ES350's, a 2007 and a 2010, and neither one had any vibration problems. So it isn't something that all of them have, but I can understand it would be very annoying for those that have the issue and can't get it resolved.
  5. Yeah, I see the same delivery tankers stop at all of the stations near me: BP, Shell, Mobil, Speedway etc. so I'm not too particular where I buy gas, especially when travelling. Near home I go to the same two stations just for the convenience.
  6. As mentioned in another thread, two weeks ago I traded in my 2010 ES350 (Starfire Pearl/Parchment) for a new Audi. My car sounds like yours. Mint condition and extremely well cared for with only 25k miles! During the new car shopping process I'd ask myself now and then, what the hell am I doing? But I had the itch for a new car and gave in. Did you have any moments like this during your search? I had back to back ES350's ('07 & '10) and was just ready for something different.
  7. Congrats on the new GS. It sounds like you got a great deal on the new car. We'll miss you on the ES threads. I recently traded in our 2010 ES350 (great car-bulletproof) on a 2013 Audi Q5 and so far am enjoying the difference.
  8. We've owned two ES350's and found the front seats in both to be very comfortable. My wife and I are different sizes and both of us have been able to find comfortable positions. My advice to have her keep experimenting with different seat and backrest positions.
  9. "There's plenty of room at the Hotel California" for both of you. :)
  10. Version 12.1 was just released so you can use this as a guideline for the version you got.
  11. I agree. Our Lexus is SP and when it's clean, waxed and in the sun, it looks interesting/great. Easy to keep clean too. I prefer my SUV's in white, so the new Mazda CX-5 is Crystal White Pearl Mica. Nice combo. CX-5 and White Pearl Mica.......
  12. I agree. Our Lexus is SP and when it's clean, waxed and in the sun, it looks interesting/great. Easy to keep clean too.
  13. We've been car shopping lookng at Audi, BMW and MB. After a brief time with each of their NAV systems, I have a newfound appreciation for the NAV in our 2010 ES350. Like any system it does have some quirks and shortcomings, but overall I prefer it.
  14. Are you talking about the digital clock on the dash or the clock associated with the nav? Unfortunately (especially with the nav clock!!) neither one changes on my car.
  15. Just double up on the Lipitor and you'll be ok. :)
  16. I'm sure that each of those four are into digital content as much, if not more, as the newsprint end of it. I know the Des Moines Register and Cedar Rapids Gazette are.
  17. No problems here. I traded in a 2007 ES350 with 40k miles and no brake work done on it. Current 2010 has about 25k miles and the brakes are still good.
  18. I agree, the guy is a troll. I wonder if his mom and dad know that he is using their computer or such things.
  19. Lexus is a Very Poorly "designed" car, made for people, who barely know how to operate. Real POS!! Get rid of it as fast as you can & go to Toyota or Hyundai. Wouldn't going to a Toyota get you a lot of the same "design" as in a Lexus?
  20. See the post above from SW03ES, it's not uncommon.
  21. Why are you still driving that thing??? Life's too short to be that unhappy with a car.
  22. Mileage can vary greatly depending on driving style and traffic conditions. In the middle of a 2500 mile driving vacation right now and averaging over 28 mpg's overall and 30+ mpg's on the highway. About the same as with my '07 ES350.
  23. It sounds like it's time to get out of the '09 and into something you like better.
  24. CR's Reliability Reports are taken from the Owners Surveys. No payoffs to be had. :)
  25. The seat comfort on ANY vehicle is subjective, you really have to try them out BEFORE buying and determine if they are comfortable for you. As far as the ES350, I've had two and both my wife and I are comfortable in the front seats, especially on long trips.
