  1. Could you give me an example of an "already-built" system. Do you mean a kit of some sort? I'm sure there would be something I could live with. The one thing I'm pretty sure of is that most Lexus dealerships won't touch this. I am basically talking about some lights under the console, (the 2010 has a large opening between the two front seats) then maybe a few under the back seats, and finally, one in the cupholder area. Wireing the system to come on and off with the rest of the interior lights is good. I would also like to have a switch somewhere to turn them on and off alone as well. There seem to be plenty of "blank" switch covers in tthis truck. Thanks.
  2. Hmm.. honestly i don't know of any shops or people that do this type of stuff, at least not without "already-built" systems. It's not really possible to build and sell pre-fab'd parts that one can install as most of the work requires drilling and complicated wiring... And there aren't (well, "weren't") any switches for the light additions i added, i just wired them up to go on with the factory lights. They even dimmed with the dimmer switch just like the rest.
  3. Sorry about the double post! If anyone has these phone numbers, could you please post? I dont see any literature about these sevices in the briefcase full of stuff I got with the RX350! I am going to call the dealership today to try and get some help too.
  4. Is it possible to have the satellite radio stations working, but the XM features not working? This seems to be the case with my vehicle. I get all the different stations in satellite mode. However, when I go to XM weather or XM sports, etc. it says something like I need to call someone (but no number) to activate. Aren't they one in the same? I've owned the vehicle for about a month. It did have miles on it when I got it because it was a dealer loaner vehicle. I was told at the dealership that when my subrscription (temorary) was about to rum out, I would be contacted to join. This has not happened. The dealership was useing the vehicle since August I think.

    Hello!

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for the great board here! I'm new to this board, but have owned 3 Lexus's over the past 9 years. Bought my wife a 2002 ES300 new. That car lasted us for over 180000 miles. Traded that on a 2006 ES330 in 2008. The 330 had 19000 miles on it when we got it. Has about 65000 now. (she really runs the p#ss out of her cars) Then in December, I traded a 2005 Ford Expedition on a 2010 Lexus RX350. Boy do I love this truck!! Never had bluetooth, back up camera, or XM radio before! In all these years, I never thought to look for a Lexus board on the internet. Not really sure how I found this one! I've been glued to it off and on for days now! Anyway, it will take me a while to read just a fraction of whats here. Thanks to all for confirming what I already know. Lexus makes a quality vehicle thats a pleasure to drive!
  6. I have an RX350 2010 pretty loaded. The first complaint I had about this truck was the lack of ambient light in the console area! You can't see anything in the center or on the console above where the interior map light are. Who could I get to do some things like you picture here? I'm handy enough to do an oil change and thats about it. By the way, where did you put the switches for all those lights? There is a speed and sound shop in my town. I'm thinking (for a small fortune I'm sure) they do things like this. I see alot of kids and their "fast and furious" honda civics, suburus, etc there.
  7. This thing is definatly part of the seat track system. It finally fell out today. Seat seems to still work fine. If you get down and look at the two tracks that the seat roller units move back and forth in, you will see that each side has a black plastic insert that goes the length of the track. I think about a foot of hers broke off (about half) and worked its way all the way out. Still operational for now. Thanks for the input anyway. I'm sure this will cost me some money before its all over. For now, its cool. Good thing I drive the '10 RX350. That truck is the bomb!!
  8. I own a 2006 ES330. Car was bought from reputable dealer off lease with just under 20000 miles. Traded 2002 ES300 for this car. 02 had 180000 miles with only normal wear and routine maintenance. Also have a 2010 RX350, which I drive. Have always veen very impressed with Lexus performance and quality. The ES330 has developed a strange problem. My wife brought this to my attention over the weekend as I rarely drive her car. On the right side of the drivers seat, at the bottom, close to the floor, there is a black plastic rod sticking out of the track about a foot. I tried to push it back in or pull it out completely. Won't budge. I could probably break it off, but that would come back to haunt me I'm sure. I have not taken it to my dealer yet. I'm new to this board, and thought maybe someone else has experienced this problem. The seat still works fine. Back and forth. Up and down. Reclines. Does not seem to affect performance at all. If anyone can shed some light on this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. The Lexus dealer I do business with is about 40 miles from me. Thanks!!
  9. In my area, I believe I got very lucky. On Christmas Eve I was looking in a local dealership at the 2011 RX series when I found out they had a "few" 2010 which were used as loaner vehicles for the dealership. Long story short, I ended up buying a "slightly used", but titled as new for warranty purposes RX350. This vehicle had 8400 miles on it. Original sticker was 48,800 plus. Not sure about which packages it has, but obviously NAV, HID light system, moonroof, wood wheel and knob, AWD, sense wipers and lights, 12 speaker package, back up camera, XM radio, bluetooth, cargo mat and net, and body side mouldings. (They put these on all their loaner vehicles) I ended up getting this vehicle for 38,000. I also got 1000 back because I own a 2006 es330 and had a 2003 es300 before that. I think it was that Lexus for life program. Anyway, I have had no problems with the vehicle. Can't see any indication of abuse or neglect. The 5000 mile sevice was done by the dealership a few months ago, and the 10000 was thrown into the deal, which I just had done. Vehicle was detailed and spotless.
