Quick question, if the battery on a 2008 rx400h is disconnected, does the system need to be reset as in the 06?

Hi, Just purchased a 2008 RX400h and added Sirius to the sound system. This is the standard Lexus nav stereo. The unit installed was Vaitech sls2 with the sirius SC-C1 receiver. Everything works fine, but I am hearing a continous crackling sound. This is more prevelant when listining to talk radio. Anyone have this issue? Any suggestions? Bad receiver maybe? I have triple checked everything but cannot what is causing these sounds. HELP!
