New member here seeking info on replacement of the navigation unit in a newly acquired 2004 LS430. Previous owner attached suction cup to screen resulting in non functioning unit. Lexus dealer performed diagnostics and reported the following: "Nav screen not responding. Internal failure. Must replace complete unit. Part $6745.28. Labor $185." The part number they listed is 8611-50220. I discussed just doing a screen swap but dealer says the entire unit needs replacement. Dealer will install if I can locate a functioning salvage part. Anyone have suggestions for me on how to proceed? I would much appreciate your assistance.
