  1. I can feel mine even though it is faint. I vacuum my seats to help keep the perforated holes cleared up. It is a great feature if you live in the desert! Leather seats are horrible in AZ but with the ventilation it is very bearable... now the heated side view mirrors and fog lights on the other hand.... what good are those for.:)
  2. Hey, I've been getting a slight rattle on my 2008 IS250 during a cold startup... it does not sound as violent as the video that the OP posted. I thought it might be the high pressure fuel pump rattling during startup because it is just a few clunks and then it goes away. Anyway, I haven't found anything online regarding the fuel pump and after seeing this TSB I am thinking that it might be the cam gear. My question is, can I just pull the timing chain tensioner and replace the gear without pulling the cam? I think it would be an easy job to do it that way. My car has 74K miles so it is just outside the warranty.
  3. I would stay away from Ventureshield. I had Ventureshield installed on my wife's 2008 Lexus IS250 a couple of years ago. The material was installed on the entire hood, front fenders, bumper, A pillars, etc. After install I initially noticed a little bit of a yellow tint to the film but didnt think much of it. Now, 2 years later, the film is ridiculously yellow. I have contacted the installer and was informed that white cars are more prone to having the film yellow. Being that the install is just over two years old and the installer gave me a 5 year warranty I have been trying to get it replaced. Unfortunately, the installer is no longer taking my calls. I am guessing by their reaction that this is a very common problem. Two of my co-workers also had their vehicles done with Ventureshield (both cars are also white) and have experienced the same.
