  1. Well, I guess Shoney fell off the earth. I happened to check the filter in my '97 ES 300 and lo and behold, no filters. Just a lot of dirt and small leaves. Cleaned all the trash out, cleaned evaporator with soft bristle brush, installed two new Wix filters from auto parts store. Easy job.
  2. Whoops, forgot to attache the link: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/es300-and-es330/168680-es300-a-c-or-cabin-filter-change-97-01-a.html
  3. I found a thread on the other site with pics showing where and how. But basically, its to the right of the accelerator pedal. Here is the link to the site and thread. Hope this helps. Steve
  4. Any body know if there is a parts manual online for a 1997 ES300?
  5. I contacted my closest Lexus dealer (250miles), gave him a copy of registration as proof of ownership, he used the vin to make a spare key and shipped ups for a grand total of $48
  6. Just realized that SKperformance is an OLD topic. Can anyone answer the question about the IAC for me? Thanks
  7. SK, In your FAQ post, you refer to cleaning the IAC in the 1997 ES300. Do I need to remove the throttle body in order to remove the IAC, and therefore, should have new throttle body and IAC gaskets available, or can it be cleaned on the engine. Thanks
  8. I have a 1997 ES300 with the cubby hole in the overhead console for attaching a remote garage door opener with Velcro. My question is, did later model year ES300's have the three Homelink buttons in the location, or just available in the sunvisor. If only available in the sunvisor, what took the place of the cubby hole in the overhead? Thanks for any help!
  9. Are there any salvage yards around the country that specialize in Lexus parts?
  10. Are there any Illustrated Parts Catalogues available on lline?
  11. Thanks LL. The car is a 1997. Im the second owner, and have the info in the glove box where it was purchased in Thousand Oaks, CA. I'll contact them as to previous maintenance. Thanks for the input.
  12. Just purchased an ES300 with 133,XXX miles. Runs and drives great, but I have a few questions: 1. Dont know the maintenance history, when should the timing belt/chain be replaced? 2. Radio works but screen is blank. 3. Where to purchase a factory service manual for best price? Thanks
