  1. :D Well if you guys wanna hear from her, she will be posting right below me haha. I know the screen name is corny, but she wanted to express her thanks personally.
  2. HAHAHA yes she does, as a matter of fact, shes been known to crack a few off every now and then herself. :P I will take your suggestion into consideration NC.
  3. Thanks guys, for the congrats.
  4. Ok well let me clarify some things for you...heres the titles of the PM's i have gotten: "are you a mod?" "is everybody Like SK?" "Wish i could do something about the way im treated here" the list goes on and on. so just cut the bull*BLEEP* and tell me you dont want me here anymore. fine with me, ill will start a poll, and you will be the only one (well, maybe one other ic an think of) voting me off the island. think about what you say before you say it and we will have no problems here. And FWIW, my fiancee is thouroghly disgusted at your attitude. I couldnt agree with her more. good day sir.
  5. You know, i dont think i like where this is going. this is the general discussions forum...there isnt a limitation or a rule on what i can post here as long as its clean, i dont know what your issue is, but this is very uncalled for, im posting in the GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUM. if i posted this in the LS or ES forum, i could see you taking this stance, but i really am starting to wonder about you and your tendancies to act like an *BLEEP*. This is the most important event of my life, the least you could do is show a little respect. But maybe, just maybe LOC doesnt give a rats !Removed!. you knwo what, if they dont like it, they dont have to read it, plain and simple. its not "cluttering up the boards" as its in the GD forum. im sure i am not the only one here who feels this way. <_< . This si a very important time, just like if i had a child, you can bet i woudl announce the birth here. It would be disrespectful not to. you dont liek it, im sorry, but im really not. You seem to have had a problem with me since day one, so if you dont like me or my "shopping list" (its not a shopping list, it is all there and Brandon and Blake can both confirm it), then PM me about it instead of being a *BLEEP* and calling me out over the forums publicly, like i am about to do to you. I have "gotten along with you" because i like this place, and you are the ONLY one who evber has any complaints about anything i have ever posted. so until i hear otherwise from another mod or admin, i will assume you are biased, or just hate me, and i dont really care. your opinion has very little bearing on anything i will do or say, and i cant honestly say that you have any more respect from me than i get from you. Case closed.
  6. and if you can then that means Meghan is in New York with you? Awesome. steviej yes meghan is here, no pix tho, she will kill me if i put a pic of her on the net. come to the wedding and meet her in person :P I tell you, im in love with this car...the AWD keeps it glued to the riad, even with the crappy goodyear eagle RS-A's...wait till i get a set of falken's on it. As promised...2005 Toyota Matrix XR 4WD.
  7. Well i would, but i thought LOC would like to know, some people may have been offended if i didnt tell them, so i covered my bases, you dont liek it, you can live with it, or not, i dont really care. and FYI, i do have a blog.
  8. Well guys, i am getting married. May 12th at the justice of the peace in watertown NY. We have known each other long enough, i dont want any lectures. if you cant congratulate, dont hate. Her name is meghan, and shes 22 years old, absoultely the best woman in the world. rest assured all of LOC is invited, and there will be PIX. yesterday, as a wedding gift, i bought her a 2005 toyota matrix (see my "back int he toyota family" thread), and we are starting our lives. Wish us luck, the road wont be easy with my deployment coming in august. But we are both prepared for it, and we are both willing and ready.
  9. and if you can then that means Meghan is in New York with you? Awesome. steviej yes meghan is here, no pix tho, she will kill me if i put a pic of her on the net. come to the wedding and meet her in person :P I tell you, im in love with this car...the AWD keeps it glued to the riad, even with the crappy goodyear eagle RS-A's...wait till i get a set of falken's on it.
  10. Josh, your engaged? Must have been one hell of a Super Bowl party! Yes, its the woman i should have been with the entire time, the wedding is may 12th (i have known her a LONG time, her name is meghan). you coming?
  11. Today my fiancee and i (dont ask, long story PM if you wanna know) Picked up a 2005 Toyota Matrix XR 4wd. Its Ocean mist metallic, auto, cd, pl, pw, the works, except leather. Purchase price is $18,000, has 9500 miles. mJust thought i would tell y'all, ill take a pic tomorrow.
  12. Check the ball joints and Tie Rod Ends. does it do it only under braking? if so, maybe your shims are missing or broken on your brake pads, resulting in direction slam.
  13. I dont, Brandon does, his turbo comes in and out constantly. LOL, every time he tears his engine apart, his setup changes. he could have that turbo back on there and retuned in a day if he wants. My engine isnt turboed...yet...BUT, i am running an 11.0:1 compression ratio...on a STOCK intake. because i havent found anything less restrictive, or that gives more than a modest gain for the money. Oh, and a 90 degree angle is VERY restrictive.
  14. I totally agree with you Brandon, a CAI is pointless if you cant put it under the center of the car. its also dangerous for your engine and makes going through any water of considerable depth impossible. dont drive at freeway speeds in the rain either. If you really want a true CAI thats BEST, remove your hood and stic the filter straight up off a pipe in the center of the engine bay going straight down to the TB. It woudl look rediculous, but it would be functional. your right SK, it is simple physics. Simple physics says (to me and my experience and education from VoTech school) that the less distance air has to travel to get to the chamber the better. This intake, has 2 small bends, a CAI will have 3 or 4 extreme angles, in addition to having to travel an additional 2 ft. to get to the combustion chamber. the air will have to flow UP as well, and without a turbo this is VERY INEFFICIENT. like i said...physics.
  15. I agree, garage kept or not, it has to be waxed or it will fade. period. I wax once a month, buff once every 3 months and clay, wax and buff twice a year.
  16. My favorite is one of my own. I had a 1983 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, 284,000 miles. I drove it in for an emissions test, i towed it home with my dads (then) dodge ram pickup. they belw the engine, on an EMISSIONS test. Those who know me know how i am with my vehciles, that engine (2.8L V6) had Barely 10,000 miles on the rebuild. the oil was just changed before i took it in, and was full. when i pulled the truck out the engine was knocking and smoking to be hell. needless to say, Jiffy Lube bought me a new engine.

    Luv Ya'

This site is great and everyone here is so nice. I am very glad that i found this site. I might not write a lot, but i sure do a lot of reading and i get a lot of help. SEARCH is great! I thank you too! ;) LOL, the feeling is Mutual across the board, Happy valentines day LOC!
  18. I answered in your other thread. dont look for a wiring harness kit, they dont exist.
  19. ah, the ES250 master is int he house LOL. OK, these are easy and common questions. The orange liquid is probably coolant, check the level in your tank. if its not that it could be power steering fluid. From the factory, your power steering fluid should look like fresh motor oil, however, it may have been mixed with ATF (red), which is what was supposed to be put in it after the factory fill was flushed. The brackets in your trunk arent crooked, its your air strut bushings on the trunk lid that are worn, so they dont let the trunk close properly (let me guess, you have to push down on one side of the trunk lid to close it all the way?) and the dash kit, metra makes one, check your local stereo installer, or Ebay.
  20. ah, but there is another way...if you dont have projectors...remove the bulb and dump rubbing alch. through a funnel...wont take much. it will evaporate, and take the water with it. a cup or so should do it.
  21. OK...got the car back today folks. Once again the mods installed were: Polyurethane Tranny Mounts Fidanza Aluminium Flywheel Centerforce Clutch (good for 500HP) Quaife Limited Slip Differential. Total mod parts cost: $550 (give or take, the quaife not included, came out of my contour). Total Mod Labor Cost: $150 (they had to remove/rebuild trans anyways) Total Warranty Coverage...$2,795.43. OUCH. Glad i had a warranty, paid for itself twice. I had no deductible, since the repair was done at dealer of purchase. I know the service tech, so mod install labor was listed on a separate invoice than the one that went to the warranty company. Now, the driving difference. WOW, Where did all this power come from? These mods have made so much more effective use out of the power. I can now effectively (that being the keyword) put down all 200 of my horsies. The LSD Helps in the snow, the Flywheel helps the engine rev faster and the Clutch, well, its just wicked cool LOL. makes for a really fast shift. The Stage II Clutch is not any harder to drive than the old one, pedal feel is only slightly lighter...yet more direct, its quite hard to describe but a very cool feeling. There is ZERO play in the pedal, yet it is refined and forgiving if you arent perfect with a stick. The LSD makes MUCH more effective use of my engines power. In fact, before i had it, back when pavement was still abound, i borrowed my friends BF Goodrich Drag Radial T/A's (minimum tread design) and i broke those loose on takeoff. 2 very long skid marks, a break (shift) and 2 shorter ones then another break and a short one... thats how long it used to take me to hook up on regular tires (goodyear eagle RS-A's), the drag radials were better, but not all that great either. I got the falkens right before winter hit, havent broken them in yet. they are doing ok in the snow though. at any rate, now with the LSD, i take off and with wheelspin in first gear and second gear if i floor it, it spins left, right, left, right, left, so on and so forth. but i think the only reason its slipping...is because there is ice on the road (DUH). Its alot like traction control...but it controls the slip mechanically instead of electronically. The LSD also makes winter driving MUCH easier. I get going so much faster in the snow now than i could before its crazy. And finally, we have the flywheel. and...well, what can i say? It does what its supposed to do, it makes the engine rev faster and drop revs faster. the torque is a little less at low RPM, but alot better across the board. And as for the tranny, it has never felt better, shifts are smooth and tight, no loose linkage, no slop in the shifter, nothing. smooth as a baby's !Removed!.
  22. you are safe to patch it. I have done this many times. I drive through some horrific stuff sometimes. anything more than half an inch from either sidewall is fine to patch...you cant patch a sidewall though.
  23. Correct.....the TPT's (touring performance tire) & the TT's (premium all seasons) are in different categories. Enjoy Rose! B) yes, by all means, enjoy!
  24. Correction Army, the 60 series & higher (65 etc) are good for 60k miles.......the 55 & lower (50 etc....which is considered somewhat 'lower profile' at least) series are only good for 30k miles. ;) oops, you are right, my bad. Sorry bout that.
