it is an awesome deal, it leaves a little to be desired (paint is peeling and lifting off of rear dorrs, but the clearcoat isnt peeling yet) asthetically, but at the same time, im not out to look good justyet, i used ot look good sporting this: then i smacked a dodge ram in the !Removed!. anyway, i needed a fast replacement and my boss told me since hsi wife died :( he doesnt need 2 cars, so he'd sell me the lexus and drive the jeep grand cherokee LTD. ya, when i camer home one day my dad was like: "i cant loan you the $$ for this car now...the A/C units are gone on the house and we are gonna get reamed on new ones" i said awwwww #$%&^@*! first i wreck my car (2 hours after i paid the last payment on it ) and then i get sued for it so i have no money left to buy anew car, and now my dad said he woudl loan me the dough to get this car. then he has to pull it out from under me cause the A/C units are gone, and we cant live in TX without them. (they are also tied to the Heating system as well, so the heater will not function without them). so yeah...im riding a bike to work and then to class (college), totalling almost 20 (like 19.4) miles per day...on a bicycle!!! im a determined student, what can i say?? LOL.

well i cant buy it yet, but the owner has told me he will not sell it to anyone but me. in 2 weeks i will have the cash...i SOOOO cant wait. i feel like a kid again. :P the a/c units on the house totalled out at $7,565 in repairs, we are looking to claim it on homeowners ins right now. until then, the lexus will stay with my boss. i dont think its going anywhere. :D the A/C system is ALL new. less than 1 year old.

about the ES250 Electrical System. in my contour, since i didnt have a factory amp, i used stock speakers in the 4 doors, used a Pioneer DEH 1550 HU in the stock location (no kit needed) and ran my wires down the sides of the car. i have a 12"Alpine sub and a pretty standard box that it sits in. also have a Jensen A34XP amp with 170 RMS. i knwo its not a lot fo power, but in the contour it worked great. now how do i go about installing all of this in my lexus???

unless your car dies or you shut it off in water past your tailpipe, you cant have water come back through your exhaust system to the motor. but hydrolocking is not good. if you MUST offroad in a lexus, do it in an SUV like an LX470. :D PS, heres a pic of a hydrolocked motor: it broke 2 conrods in half (guess which 2???), snapped the crank and shaved 4 lobes off of the cams (dont ask, i have no idea how...)

pk well i will pop for them when the time comes, right now i need 2 new A/C units for my house, so thats gonna cost 4K. unfortunately, the good ol' pile o bricks comes first. but the car is not for sale to anyone but me, so it will be ther ein 2 weeks when i have the cash again. and iridium huh? ill check into that. any plug wires you all would reccomend?

well it looks like it will be a few more weeks until i can purchase the car. the aiur conditioner units (2 story, 2 units) went this moring. total repair cost...$3,800 (1,900 for each unit.) just my luck...its ok, ill have another thousand in cash in a couple weeks.

i will pop for the iridium if nessecary, but i thought they were only for Forced Induction apps (i.e. NOS, Turbo or S/C)?

intakes typically dont add alot of horsepower by themselves, you have to couple them to an Exhaust system to really make it work. the gain would be neglidgible at the wheels. but its a great first mod, becuase besides fuel and oil, the most important thing a motor can have is AIR. it will help with how fast the engine revs in neutral. and get an exhasut to free up even more power. B)

which plug is best to use in the 2.5L V6 that my ES250 (camry) comes with??? i had Double platinums in my last car, and every car runs best on certain types of plugs...thoughts???

2004 lexus LS430 2000 Ford Contour SVT in tropic green metallic, only 207 EVER made.

mine was one of the first ever built, #1132. built in July 1994. i loved that car, as do alot of other people at Fordcontour.org, or FCO for short. there "lives" the one of the engineers who started it all, Mr. Terry Haines himself. this was my car Before and this is it, after. i rear ended a Ram 3/4 ton that cut me off (no not the one in the background LOL, thats my dads).

i found a set of rims that look good on my new car: http://elitrix.net/everythingauto/album_pic.php?pic_id=327 thats just a quick photoshop, they wont be that big, but 17X7. what size and brand do you guys reccomend??? i do a mix of city and highway/wet and dry roads. comfort is not nessecarily the priority here, treadwear and grip are a concern, but grip is the biggest concern. it has to grip. and for under $200 a piece if possible.

im an ES250 owner myself, i take delivery in 2 days. YAY. but you stole yours... mine was $2,000. its a 1990 with 138,000 miles. but it runs as good as the day it was new (drove one that had >20K on it a year ago and it drove just liek mine). take care of it and you will get many many many fun years out of it. BTW, my car before this was a 1995 Ford Contour. probably more funto drive, but not as much fun to be seen in. you have a rare car my friend, hang onto it. i have the only one i have seen in my state... funny how i made the suggestion yesterday to add the ES250 and we have already picked up another member! :D

hi, i woudl like to put silverstar bulbs in when i get this car, unfortunately it has some HEAVY condensation inside the right headlight, how do i fix this??? if i dont fix it and it gets/stays wet in there, the $20.00 a pop bulbs will blow. TIA.

ahh, you are welcome, and thank you!. lol. i have been reading alot of the posts on here and havent found much about the ES250, but as soon as i get the car (it will be inspected tomorrow/wednesday and picked up when i get my next check) i am sending off for Lexus Owners club Decals. i want to wait till i have the keyes i my hands tho.

i just ran a carfax on that lexus: now what worries me, is there is no carfax report for over a year??? whats that about??? i tbelieve he just got the car inspected, and if he did, how long does it take carfax to be updated??? a month??? just wondering...thanks.

thanks for the input. according to the carfax, it failed the last emissions test 3 times. i inquired as to why and my boss told me it was due to a bad catalytic converter. so now that that has been replcaed, it should not be a problem.
