  1. I know this is an OLD topic, but I noticed you said they would not give you a loaner because you were 21...is that a RI law? I was under 21 when I got my first Lexus and never had a problem getting a loaner. After all, it is YOUR insurance that covers the car in the event of an accident.
  2. I HATE this feature too for the same reason as cduluk. It's funny how sometimes the simplest answer is right in under your nose, and you don't think about it because you have tunnel vision on a more technical solution! I would like to point out one thing, cduluk...One of the things I like about the car is that it does everything for you. When it starts to rain, my wipers come on, when it get's hot/cold, my air conditioner takes care of it, and when it gets dark out, my lights come on! Take advantage of that feature...at least you will only have to remember to turn off your lights half the time to keep from wetting your front end. :P Also, it is really hard to see the HID lights during the day because they mimic natural sun light. This is why the DRLs burn the high-beams at 80% power...makes them highly visible during the day. Although they are not the best looking, they do what they were DESIGNED to do. Just sayin'...
  3. I was a little put off by the childish behavior from "you know who". There were no questions asked by the insurance company/adjuster from what I gathered so no false statements could be given. This goes back to people not doing their job, which is something I cannot handle... At any rate, the waxy substance is not a rust inhibitor. It is a substance applied (possibly to the entire vehicle unless taped and bagged) that prevents over spray from adhering to the paint that did not need painting. A rust inhibitor would be applied to bare metal. Hope this helps your mind...I am a bit of an OCPD as well, and that emblem thing has worried me to death! Haha!
