  1. Hello, does anyone know if this tool : http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-8-30-023-TIS-Techstream-MINI-VCI-OBD2-Diagnostic-Cable-4-Toyota-Lexus-Scion-/261398977207?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cdc97dab7#ht_6461wt_1098 is capable of doing this? Last Modified: 2-11-2014 6.6 D Doc ID: RM000000XYD011X Model Year: 2009 Model: IS350 Prod Date Range: [08/2008 - ] Title: POWER STEERING: ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM: CALIBRATION; 2009 MY IS250 IS350 [08/2008 - ] CALIBRATION 1. ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR VALUE INITIALIZATION AND TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION NOTICE: Clear the rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the rotation angle sensor value, and calibrate the torque sensor zero point if any of the following has occurred: • The power steering ECU assembly has been replaced. • The power steering gear assembly has been replaced. • Steering effort differs between left and right. (a) Inspection before calibration (1) Connect the Techstream (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3. (2) Turn the engine switch on (IG). (3) Turn the Techstream on. (4) Check the IG power supply voltage on the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List. Tester Display Measurement Item/Range (Display) Inspection Condition Reference Value IG Power Supply ECU power source voltage/ Min.: 0 V, Max.: 20.1531 V Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V Voltage: 10 to 14 V NOTICE: If the IG power supply voltage is 10 V or less, calibration cannot be performed. In this case, charge or replace the battery, and then perform calibration. (b) Rotation angle sensor calibration value clear, rotation angle sensor value initialization, and torque sensor zero point calibration. NOTICE: • If DTC C1516 (Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Incomplete) is stored, the torque sensor zero point cannot be calibrated. Clear the DTC before starting calibration. • If DTC C1526 (Rotation Angle Sensor Initialization Incomplete) is stored, the rotation angle sensor value cannot be initialized. Clear the DTC before starting initialization. (1) Connect the Techstream (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3. (2) Turn the engine switch on (IG). (3) Turn the Techstream on. (4) Follow the procedures on the Techstream to clear the rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the rotation angle sensor value, and calibrate the torque sensor zero point. NOTICE: • When initializing the rotation angle sensor value, observe the following to stabilize sensor voltage: After turning the engine switch on (IG), wait for at least 2.5 seconds before turning the steering wheel. Do not turn the steering wheel quickly. • The steering wheel will vibrate during torque sensor zero point calibration. Do not touch the steering wheel while it is vibrating or for 2 seconds after it stops.
  2. Hello, just removed my rack pinion (electric) off my 2009 lexus is250awd, there is a big stciker on the new unit that tells me to make sure i follow the information for introducing a new rack and pinion to your cars can bus and ecu. 3. Hello, i rebuilt a is250 awd 2009 model. Everyhting is perfect except i have the afs light that flashes all the time. The headlights dont move like they are suppose to. The car was hit in the front and i had minimal frame damage, i replaced the bumper, grille and one headlight., high and low beams work fine. CODES: B2412 Headlight Swivel Motor LH B2413 Headlight Swivel Motor RH B2417 Headlight Beam Level Control Motor LH B2418 Headlight Beam Level Control Motor RH From all the above should i assume the computer that runs all this is bad ir unplugged? I checked all the cars fuses they are good.. Does anyone know the location of the afs ECU? thanks again
  4. Hello, today our is250 awd began steering kinda funny? It starts off just fine but after about 10 minutes it seems like the steering wheel sticks in whatever position its in, it becomes slight difficult to move it either way. When you do move it then it jerks slightly in which ever direction you turned it in. I assume from looking under the hood i have an electric power steering since i cannot find a power steering pump. Any ideas as to what to look for or check? thanks for your help
  5. Hello, i just recently rebuilt a 2009 lexus is250 awd that was hit in the front, i bought another 2009 lexus is250 not awd and removed all the front components i needed (it had been hit in the rear). The car turned out perfect all but the aff light flashing. I took it to the lexus dealer and they told me they would have to take the front bumper off to find the problem. I was very careful and replaced all that was damaged. The wiring harness was not hurt, i did take both headlights from the donor car. It had the headlights for the aff! Thanks for any ideas kentucky
  6. thanks anyway...i just thought someone would know, ill poke around until i find them all........
