Baggins

I find when the soft outer rubber wears thin and the hard inner rubber is visible, that the tires make a significant amount of road noise. When stopping and starting the noise even sounds like it is a grinding noise. Has anyone else had this situation. Is there anything that can be done about it? And is there any recommendations for replacement tires? Thanks for your help. Baggins
