  1. I posted on another forum on this site, but have gotten no replies. Not sure if I have done something wrong. I have a 94 es300 and need to replace the tranny. I would like to do it myself, but can't find any info on how diffficult it might be. Can anyone offer any advice. I am reasonably mechanically inclined and have replaced transmissions before on older cars. Any instructions on the site on how it is done? Thanks for the help and please let me know if I am posting incorrectly.
  2. I am new to the forum. I needed to find a reliable, SAFE, car for my daughter and found a 94 ES 300. The seller said it leaked a little tranny fluid, but not too much. Well, my definition of too much is definitly different. The transmission has really gone down hill and needs to be replaced. I am trying to find out if that is something I can do myself. I tried a search to find instructions, but no luck. My question is can i do this? Can anyone give me directions to a description on what is involved. I have reasonable mechanical skills and have replaced two before, but they were on 1960's vintage cars and were pretty simple. Any advice? I am on a budget and can't shell out a couple thousand. plus, I like to get a little greasy.
