I have a Lexus LS430 and today, after my son was in the car, I cannot release the steering lock. I have managed to start the car but the warning light 'S/T LOCK CBL FAILURE' is displayed. I now need advice about 2 things firstly, how to remove the steering column cover as the wheel doesnt turn to allow access to the front screws and secondly, how to locate/reset/check the steering lock cable.
