  1. Well, there's isn't much you can do to this car. Since your engine bay is a little bigger than the design before, you might consider checking out whether a Supercharger or Turbo's can be added to it. Otherwise, some cosmetic and suspension upgrades might be the only thing you can do to this car. Sorry :( Oh yeah, I forgot, this might be a good time to change those ugly Wheels if you haven't done it already.
  2. To all: Wanted to know if anyone knew if the 9006 bulbs shared with another LExus Model with HIDs onboard?
  3. If you're still looking for Trunk Lid Stuts, Private Message me. I can get you stocks. I didn't even know there was a stut there. AWJ. Does our 95's have struts or something else that's holding the lid up?
  4. I took out a Golf GTI the other day, but I really don't think she knew how to push that car to it's limits.
  5. Okay, Euro is a bad word. How about Aggressive and Ticket/Race worthy?
  6. Here's a link http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm
  7. I wonder what OpeningAct is thinking, now that we're swaying him in the direction of an lovely Sc300? <_< I think that MR2 is a good choice. The car is really stable on cornering, but I would definitely recommend a 5sp over the Auto, since you can't really control the car with the auto/autostick. Now if you could just put a TOM's or Denso MRS engine in it, and tightened the suspension just a tad, you'd be happy having a GT300 car.
  8. Ok, I'm going to need some clarification before I swap out the stock GTE engine with the MKIV, as soon as I find one. What are the different engine options available for the SC300? I've found: GTE2( I believe it's a second generation GTE, if it really exists), 3T-GTEU ( I'm not very familiar with this one), 1JZ-GTE(Japan) and 1UZ-FE, 2JZ-GE(?) (US Markets) 2JZ-GTE (US SC's and Supras), 1G-GTEU & 1G-GEU (Japanese Market) Now should I be not be looking at the 2JZ-GE and Add the Turbos to this engine, or something else? Oh, I definitely want a 6speed. Sounds better.
  9. You're right. It is kind of cut and dry. I don't think he would have used the 3.0TT since that option is not available for US or Aus Markets. I always thought the Supra was going to be a Skyline contendor and Soarer was the Z car contendor. Now I realize Toyota doesn't know what they're doing. That sucks
  10. Mat: Check your Private Message board. This list has been submitted.
  11. I'm not sure exactly, but have you tried looking from underneath the car. You might have to remove a skidpad or two to gain access to that area. From a picture, it looks like it comes out from backside of the bumper.
  12. That doesn't sound right. If you were driving a Manual then I would understand. First thing I would do is look for the Check Engine Light. It kind of sound like your engine is not getting oxygen anymore, but I can't tell without physically having your car in front of me. Try doing this. While the car is in Park, rev your engine once, and see if your car stalls. If it does, try getting a free estimate from a dealer.
  13. If you've visited a local Speed Shop in your area, then I would recommend Steve or Rob Millen Sports car tuners. They might have the specs on the UK LS400, and how different they are from the US ones. To be honest with you, I don't know to much about the differences between the two.
  14. Mat: Any particular reason why email addresses is needed?
  15. To get to the corner tail lights, you have to pull back the carpeting and covers. There are a few carpet holding snap-ons. Find them before trying to rip off the covering The light housing is secure with 6 screws, but if I remember, once you remove the trunk coverings. you should be able to access the lights without removing the housing. If not, go a head and remove the housing. there is a quick access to the bulbs.
  16. To all interested in purchasing brand new parts cheaper than the dealer is offering you, send me a Private Message. Make sure to include Part Number, VIN, and brief description of the part(s) including colour.
  17. Can't tell you exactly what's going on, but my hunch is the ECU might be relaying bad information. Since I don't know, try to consult a Toyota Dealer or at least an Aftermarket Electrician. They should be able to get you some indication to what's going on.
  18. Have you changed your speakers already? Providing you checked out whether the FAD and Treble have been adjusted, you might want to follow the speaker wires behind the carpeting and closest to the firewall. Make sure they are still connected and not separated. Also, you might want to check out the wire connected to the head radio. On one of the LS400 forums I mentioned how to take the climate control and radio out if you need to know.
  19. I might give Steve a call. Do you know how much he charges for the Manual?
  20. I like what Do-luck's body kit. It looks very aggressive and EUro.
  21. AWJ: What site did you get your repair manuels from, or did you get them through Toyota itself? On another note, do i know whether there is another way to replace the Fog Light bulbs on the SC300, other than taking the skid pad off?
  22. kind of curous if my 95 SC300's rims would fit on the 93's! Anybody know?
  23. Not exactly sure what you're trying to say. Is it the parking lights or the hazards? The Fog lights on the 95 SC300/400 use a H3 bulb, and isn't long enough to move all the way down to the lower part of the car. You might want to check out a body kit from somewhere. There are a few options available for the SC300-400's when it comes to body kits. Try them out.
  24. Question. When the Overdrive light comes on, watch the RPms to see if the Revs increase. If they do, then you may have a chip problem, but I'm not that sure. If your RPMs are not normal to start with, like while driving at speeds higher than 50 and the RPMs are at 2900+ your overdrive chip will need to be replaced. If it doesn't go up, then it's just a bad connection.
  25. apexsw20trd: your power steering issue. Here is something to look for. If the steering wheel is a little tight or is tilting in one direction you might want to check the power steering fluid. MY steering wheel is tilting one way, and when I got an estimate from Lexus, they said the fluid cable was leaking. I haven't found the leaking cable yet, but once I put in some new PSt fluid, if went back to it original position. Before buying this car, I would suggest that you take the car to a Toyota or Lexus dealership and have them inspect it. It will cost you some money, but it's well worth it. Second of all, definitely have them throughly check the electronics and Engine of the car, and if necessary, ripe apart the block to see what's needs to be fixed. If they spend less than 3hours on the car, tell the manager that you are not satisfied with the inspection and you are demanding satisfaction or your money back. I am currently learning from that mistake, and I'll be taking my reciept back to the Lexus dealer for my money back, since I figured out what the problems are afterwards.
