  1. Yah, I asked him about those two colours, but they said it can be a Toyota Colour, but it wasn't offered by Lexus, although the two brands are linked. It's kind of like the Hawaiian Soarer we saw earlier on the post. Had the same colour blue as the Toyota Supra you found on ebay or Autotrader. I remember going to the Lexus dealer back in like 98-99 and they had a bright blue SC sitting on the lot. Also, Ive seen a lot of dark blues around. Maybe it just depends on what state you are in. In CA we have those colors for sure. That's what I thought as well. I even remember seeing a dark blue 99ES, but since this guy is the parts manager at a Lexus Dealer, and he says he looked through the books and couldn't find any actual blues. He even checked with the general Manager who was once in sales from 91-99. Unless someone else can contradict my guy, I have to believe him.
  2. Hey Guys: Can anyone with the 94LS400 Repair books, make me a copy of the wiring diagrams for the above items--ABS, and Trac? If you don't mind, could you also post it on our forum's Picture Gallery? Thanks a lot UCF3
  3. COuple of things come to mine. One Tire pressure, and Alignment. Check your tire pressure; all should be 30spi or 32psi. Kind of curious if you're braking from 69-60mph?

  5. I beleive it was an optional equipment for the 93s
  6. Wow, I didn't know the 92 SC400s had the reservoir so close to the Radiator and the fan belt. The one on my LS is all the way to the left. BTW is that an aftermarket intake? Before you left this dealership, did you ask them for an itemized estimate on this repair. I hope your right about the reservoir, and I would think about replacing the water pump. It's the most likely item to go bad in the near future, just like your steering wheel pump, scerpentine belt, timing belt and other hoses. Batt too.
  7. I have a feeling it won't. Anybody with a 94 SC? Also, doesn't anyone have the wiring diagrams for the Alarm on any year. It's possible you could get the car to honk or flash if we have the image of a wiring diagram for the ALARM/Security.
  8. I believe the 430s were the only ones for the SC lineup.
  9. Well since there are Cams available for the GE Engine, Dave's NA-site sounds like a good place start.
  10. Was your two Chevy's that bad or did you just want to get into the new import tuner market? ;)
  11. It's okay, we won't kill ya ;) HIDs are the way to go, but you should read some of the comments left on this link to see what your getting into. I have Aftermarket HIDs, which are really bright and really cool. Personally, I like the Blue shaded lights on my SC--easier to look at. You could also try Hella Lights. They are the best bulbs out there. HELLA USA
  12. I personally haven't seen any performance cams, but there are some cams for Toyota Supras--unknown engine. You check with Nopi or Stillen to see if there are any listed. Have you looked through our " Performance Parts AND Frequently Asked Question" thread pinned above?
  13. I have to agree with SW03Es. Ride height is the key. I don't think you'll need to sell your car. You can get a $1k Car like a Chevy Cavalier or Ford Escort, something with FWD will do the job. I used to live in Syracuse, NY where snow can reach 3-6ft. Besides you'll be driving the car for 3yrs until you graduate.
  14. I checked with my Parts guy, and he says the 94 SC400 alarm is compatible with the 93. The only problem is you'd have to replace the alarm setup--$2200 even with my discount. Sorry.
  15. You mean the Water Pump. As a preventive maintenance recommended at 75k. $700 w/parts and labour sounds pretty cheap, compared to how much I paid on my LS. you could also do it yourself.
  16. Oh no, you're right. It does suck to have it on, since it's actually doing what we(the driver) can do ourselves by taking our foot of the Throttle. It's more like a piece of mind than a luxury. ;) BTW: What's the SC440? <_<
  17. Simply Green. My friends like using Orange Blast. The picture doesn't do justice, but I'm thinking about wiping down the plastic parts with some Armor All.
  18. Although I am aware of the fact that the license plate cannot be inside the vehicle, I didn't feel like ruining my front bumper. I had it posted against the windshield for a while until some cop told me it was obstructing my view. I then fabbed it to my passenger sun visor and now I just flip it down when I see oncoming bacon. Haven't been stopped since. (California) I like that. I hope you don't get a ticket.
  19. I paid $175 here in the DC Metro Area. I've heard dealers in Texas charging $200-250 for this service, but I like to think of it as a piece of mind. Good luck.
  20. I just finished talking to my Lexus parts guy, and he says there were NO Official Blues offered from Lexus- years 91-99. According to them, Lexus offered Sapphire Green, but no Blue. You've won your Bet. Sorry it took me so long. So what do we get out of this? ;)
  21. I'm glad to hear that you replaced them with new ones. A friend of mine removed them all together, and month later the area was black and thin. Ouch. He was also complaining about extra heat in the cockpit. Man that was a bad idea.
  22. Also don't forget this site if you're interested some performance products. Dimples: Have you had a chance to visit our ": Performance Parts AND Frequently Asked Question" in the pinned section above? You've been adding all sorts of information about the SC300/400/430s. Enjoy
  23. Not a Problem!!! I live in Atlanta Georgia... I can't believe you told me :D , but are you willing to share your address with us? <_< ;) Just kidding.
  24. You lost me. What are you referring to? i was talking about your katz skins re-wrapping. could you give me a brief description on how it all "went down" I have Katzkin Vinyll on my LS, and they suck. Never did them on my SC. You can actually take the existing leather off the seats, and replace them with Katzkin leather. In order to do this, you'll need to take your front seats off the rail, four screws at the bottom. Raise the headrests. Disconnect the power seat and heat cables, and take the seats out of the car. In the bottom of the seat, you'll notice the buttons or a zipper, and another set at the backs of the seat. Unbutton and remove Slowly. You don't want to peel off foam sections. same procedure with the back rest. The headsets have zippers underneath. be careful, since it doesn't want to comeout that easily. Chances are there will be some sticky moments. I don't remember exactly what I used to clean that up, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tilex or any mildew remover would substitute. You should definitely check with Pepboys to see if they have anything. Are you planning to buy some Katzkins in the near future?
  25. It sounds like you didn't wait a minute for the security system to properly activate. You should try waiting for the light to blink, then try openning the lock from the inside. I'm just surprised your 94 doesn't have the beep beep--Sounds like a Casio wrist watch. My 94 LS does.
