  1. Anti-freeze is also red in colour. have you checked your level lately. It almost sounds like the biggest problem is the cooling system. have you swapped the water-pump and swapped the fluids yet. The battery could just be bad also. Try this, swap it with one of Jags, and see if you're able to run with it for a day or two.
  2. I need my sunglasses for the orange font :D . No, the built-in side marker mirrors don't exist. I've come across two versions, a cover that slips on-top of the mirror, and someone who had customized they're mirrors with lights.
  3. It's also known as motor regulator. Please use the lower case when type messages. thanks
  4. Are you sure it's the Fuel Pump and not the filter? What have you done so far?
  5. You can still get a kit. My kit's from VIS racing; you will need a good bodyman just in case the kit doesn't line-up correctly, and is willing to paint the kit. What kind-off exhaust are you looking for?
  6. Do you have the read out from the Alighment?
  7. Interesting.
  8. code 27 is a bad o2 sensor. check along your exhaust system for week ones. try this website http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html
  9. Strip it. Remove the spare, back seat, some more luxury stuff, and change your spark plugs. The Torque converter will help also. How much power is your brother doing right now?
  10. Is he a bodyman? Is he hammer/dolley the curves?
  11. Ignition coils? didn't you replace the starter already? Give it a shot if you haven't already. you could ask the dealer to do so, and if they can't fix it complain and get your money back. Before you part it, shoot an email to JP importz, and ask for the owner(i forgot his name) http://planolexusservice.com/PageView.aspx?PageID=1 Let him know that you're a LOC member and you're exhausted all avenues and need some advise.
  12. most of them are under $1500, unless you're getting a urethane from the actual bodykit maker. Why, what do you have in mind?
  13. It should be around 2k, maybe a bit higher.
  14. Nice buy. $7200 for an 89k 5speed is a good buy to me.
  15. I don't see a really good reason why you shouldn't get the car. You could pull the code and search the forum for what error code it represents. Tehre are a number sources and links that will describe the error codes. Resetting the codes by the battery is a temporary fix. Some of us get the car through state inspection that way.
  16. are all the gears working? Reverse, Drive, 1st 2nd and so on. I don't think your Tranmission is failing.
  17. I think i've answered your where to buy them from question on the other Post. To install it: there are a number of ways but it would require me to look at what cables(length) and components you get. You may have to drill in a couple of places to fit screws, and it would probably take you about 6hrs to do it since you're not familiar with the car yet.
  18. for the HIDs I'd suggest getting them from these guys. The HIDs last longer than the really cheap one off Ebay.
  19. I noticed the Front Lip, but wow the Supra seats fit the track. Pretty nice. How do they feel?
  20. I believe 35% is the limit in VA. I know of a guy who has a 40%(yes, it exists) which is what I did on my SC, but I did it all around(no brow) it's dark and the cops usually don't bother me.
  21. Avoid driving the car during the week since you live in the city. leave it for the weekends of travels. You'll get better mileage on highways anyway.
  22. I'm not much of a fan of lambo-doors either, but paint sounds interesting. The Antenna, you'd loose the functionality of the radio if you chop the Antenna and go with a Shark-Fin. It also won't work because the shark fins are designed for XM/Sirrus modules. the Flexible black ones really aren't that great with reception either. You could attempt to swap the radio with a newer one from Pioneer/Alphine and see if they have a antenna replacement option. Bodykits, you have a large selection, but getting most of them to fit would be your biggest challenge. Good luck, it sounds like a interesting plan.
  23. probably not as much as during the rest of the year. You do have the Traction control and the ABS, but even with Winter tires I'd stay on the Salted-Tracks. Don't forget about the ride-height. Keep your Auto-Club card handy just in case you get stuck.
  24. yeah, the Cold Air usually goes down to the chassis Level. This will do the job too. How does it sound?
  25. 1) What do you mean only one track works? Is there an obstacle or is it moving one direction? 2) You just need to replace the trunk struts. you can buy them from PepBoys or Advanced Auto or Ebay(kind of common). about $20-40. If you pull-back on the trim behind seat in the trunk you'll see the joints. 3) Try to slowly bend/Wabble the antenna mask and watch it rise. Also listen and watch to the Antenna mask dropping when you turn the radio off if it sounds like it stops moving but the motor is running you just need a new mask with. Worse case scenerio you have to buy a new Antenna unit. Buy that from the Dealer since I really did not like the ones on Ebay or NAPA. Be sure to buy the rubber gasket around the antenna/hole. 4) Tune-up, you can buy kit from the dealer and do the work yourself. If not expect to pay a bit. You can always take the car to a Toyota Dealer to get it done a bit cheaper, or look for a Certified Master Toyota or ASE tech. They'll guarantee the work. What kind of electrical issues are you having?
