  1. Not really. Worse one so far is the Pikes Peak in Colorado.
  2. Couldn't say off my head, but i believe they are. You can always call up the Lexus dealer and verify the part numbers match. Just remember to buy a good one from a reputable remanufacturer because a lot of the aftermarkets may not pump properly. Oh, another tip, stay away from non-toyota PS fluid. Didn't like the results when I used the off-the counter PS fluid from Pep Boys.
  3. ouch buddy.
  4. Don't really think the 1jz-MarkIII(chassis) came in an auto. Manual will probably be the only option. If you're still considering buying the 1jz, don't worry about the vvt-1 since it's not applicable on the 1jz at all. What you're thinking of is the 2jz MarkIV(chassis). I've heard of different stories about the 2jz w/ vvt-i and non. There will always be modifications that need to be done when you swap. Best practice is to find a qualified shop, one that's done many swaps and specialize with Toyotas'. Also, buy a complete engine w/ tranny, ecu and so on. You have a lot of searching to do before this can be possible. Search through this forum and you'll find a ton of information.
  5. 3" piping would be nice. What kind of a sound are you trying to achieve? Also, at what point did the piping start at 2.5"?
  6. They want to replace the EGR valves? Is your car choking/shaking? Kind of unusual. ANy chance the car is turning off and on?
  7. Would you like to do it yourself? Buy a replacement power steering pump from the Toyota dealer. I've found out that it's better than the other aftermarkets from Pep Boys or Advanced Auto.
  8. Any wheel in the Lexus Line-up and a number of Toyota ones. We also have a Wheels and tires Forum. All the specs are there. Hope that helps.
  9. Are you sure it wasn't a "click" instead of the thump? When I had that problem on my old LS4 it used to click.
  10. I always say, if you don't know how to drive, rely on technology, even if it is unsophisticated. Learn to slide, drive and control. I should really teach a course.
  11. Well, there's always the hold-your head underneath approach
  12. Do you know where you're going to buy the Cusco LSD from? I've swapped my SC with the Tein HA street version w/ EDC. Unfortunately, I have to use the loosest setting on the street, but the 4-5 for the track will working very well.
  13. beats me. Never changed it on the old LS. Did Lextreme's site mention anything? http://www.lextreme.com/tc.htm
  14. I love this site. It's saved me so much money.
  15. how much is Lextech charging for the needle replacements? Price on all four or just one?
  16. What does your fuel tank display say on your dash? It kind of sounds like you're fuel-pump may not be working.
  17. ? You've lost me. what are you trying to accomplish?
  18. my 95 doesn't so wow, living the lux. life :D
  19. It sounds like the regulator like Rekit mentioned. Are you able to use the switch on the passenger side?
  20. have you checked on KBB.com or NADA.com? Both of them are pretty accurate when it comes to selling your car. You should attempt to sell it for $5-6k but you'll have to drop it a bit. Personally, I wouldn't sell the car.
  21. Agreed. It sounds like an awful first day into 2009. If it is your transmission fluid that's going bad it should be related to when you flushed it. something must be clogged. I was leaning towards bad fuel, but what did your Mechanic say?
  22. Stealership
  23. Did I just see someone post a message on the Forum last week about selling a 92 SC3. Have you asked MuyBen whether he's sold his?
